Just wanted to thank you for your instructional videos. I love your styles and techniques. It's like opening a window to my brain and letting in some fresh air! Thanks again, and best of health to you.
I'm so glad you liked the video and like my techniques. Thank you for watching my videos and for all those kind words and I wish you health and prosperity as well!
I've mentioned this before on one of your other videos, but it's awesome to see how you think about how to make the garment last, how to keep it in use longest (and out of the landfill). Even mentioning how an average person really just wants something to toss into a regular load of laundry and not be precious with it. It's so refreshing to see that in someone who sews and sells the clothes. You put a lot of thought and care into your garments and it shows.🙂
@@SherryJonesDesigns i would assume that the size of the apron is determined by the size of the shirt that I use. normally i wear a 2xl so thought i would use a 3xl men's or maybe if i can find one 4xl . hopefully they will work. I`m gonna give it a try. Thank you
What a cute upcycle! May I suggest that you strengthen the main fabric behind the top of the pockets. That’s usually where it tears with wear, especially if the main fabric is used and washed a lot.
I like your tutoruals, for the whole piece and also for the many tips you give along the way. Would have helped me if you laid out the striped shirt after you cut it out. I couldn't tell what it was or why it was cut that way (until the end).
It's tricky trying to figure out how to present them. Also, sometimes I lose footage which makes it even harder to present it but I appreciate the advice. Hope yours turns out awesome.
Love it Sherry. Thank youfor your great ideas. I have wanted to make this type of apron for ages but didn't want to commit a heap of fabric if it didn't work out.
I'm so glad you found the video useful and that you love it. With a lot of men's stained shirts I find at garage sales and thrift stores, this would be a perfect use for them. One could repurpose them as work aprons....gardening, painting, cooking, etc. Especially if one found the heavier type work shirts like the Carhartt and Levis etc. Thank you for watching my videos!
Thanks for sharing this Sherry, it's fab ❤ However, I'm having trouble trying to work out the layout of the shirt before you make the angled cut. It looks like you've added the sleeves onto the side seams of the shirt - is that right? Thanks again xx
hello very nice lady please kindly film how to thread this sewing machine how to wind the bobbin and please kindly film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal how its used to sew please kindly let me know ok?thank you very much 😊
If you lay the shirt down facing the table after cutting and removing the sleeves etc., all you need to do is make sure the shoulders cross each other when you attach them back on. Hope that helps.

So refreshing to see garments up-cycled without a ton of lace and doilies. Thank you. Nice work!!
Thank you! Yeah, lace and doilies just aren't for me but some people love them.

Yes, I think using a larger size is wise. One can always take it in, but making it larger is more work.
Thank you "sew" much! ( See what i did there? 😂) Seriously, tho, you are a blessing to me! ❤
Awesome use of the word 'sew'! I love it! ....and Im super glad I am a blessing to you! Thank you for letting me know! It means a lot to me!

Thank you and that is a great idea. Thank you so much. I don't know why I didn't think of that!
Like the style and fabrics, stripes and florals just go together. Looks so good on. Thank you.
