It's not the quality, but as he said, he was searching for something to draw. As such, he was forcing himself to draw something for others.
As such, he felt his heart wasn't in his work and if he continued, it would be mediocre work at best, feeding a feeling of calling it in.
Sometimes talent and skill takes a back seat to relaxing and having fun
I actually rather agreed, it had a good start but the direction it was taking was not a good path. I'm super glad he went a different way with it :)

Honestly, no joke, the end result is absolutely exceptional. Your avatar starting surrounding in that “white abyss” as you said with a lost expression and then you just totally filled it with amazing art that was full of life and personality and you changed your avatar’s face and it’s like you standing amongst all your creations and it’s so cool.

I work for commissions and I want to make the person happy but I’m not happy with the end result. Thank you for talking about how art is sometimes a struggle. And you overcame it in a truly epic way. Drawing what you felt. And that should be the main message. Draw for yourself.

This is my favorite of your videos! I once drew a picture of my niece (3 or 4 years old at the time) on her whiteboard after she went to bed. She came downstairs in the morning, saw the whiteboard, and exclaimed, “It’s me!” I was so proud that a 3-4 year old was able to recognize herself in my drawing, and I had those crummy markers that pull the color off if you go over a line! 😁

You never cease to amaze me no matter what you create. The whole point of art is to express YOURSELF. Not to follow someone else's standards... Unless you're in an art class, then you kind of have to follow the agenda. Otherwise, create what you love, and what you can feel proud of. Or else there's no point in doing it.
This is one of my FAVORITES JAZZA! It just has the sense of "the imagination is limitless. I can conquer anything! Anything is possible with a little determination." You rock Jazza =)
Not sure if this would work but try and make an artwork with a palette you don't really know the exact shades and wear tinted sunglasses and see how it comes out

When you’re feeling pressured to do art, or going through serious art block, sometimes the best thing to do is draw what you love! Draw what you’re used to, you don’t always need to improve. When you draw what you love, you improve automatically, and just plainly enjoy yourself. That’s what art should be about! Fun! Whoever is reading this, you will get through your artist’s block, (which we’ve all experienced) and you are good enough. Sometimes we feel so pressured be be constantly improving or being the best we can be, when all we have to do is have fun, and enjoy art. ❤️
Thanks for sharing! I had an art block for a year and a half and it was miserable. But I got through it! And that's exactly what I did, I drew cartoons and stuff that I enjoy and eventually pushed myself just a little until I was more confident with where I was at and I did see an improvement!
