That Guardians of the Galaxy by Valentino was a huge pleasant surprise for me..totally '90s ofc but in a good way!and his art here for the most part was🔥👌
Have you read Fellspyre chronicles book 1. It is an awesome story & presentation is great with all kinds of maps etc. Only if it were oversize instead of standard hardcover.
Thanks for the review! I've been debating on Heroes Reborn and Heroes Reborn The Return omnis. I prefer books where I don't need to think too hard to understand (I do enough of that with grad school lol). I think I'll give it shot now, especially since IST has it for only $50. And GOtG by Jim Valentino was an excellent book. Great art and fun stories with plenty of throwbacks to the present. Mine should arrive this week.
Great video. I'm a sucker for 90's comics, and I'm always willing to give even the most nutty looking stories a chance. Also, Ed Benes is such an underrated artist. Shame that he kind of just vanished from the top of the industry. I know the sex appeal he throws in his comics isn't for everyone, but I'm for all tropes that scream power-fantasy :)
The Heroes Reborn Omnibus is a nice choice, and I agree with your reasoning. I heard so much negativity that I didn't break the seal until years after purchasing, and enjoyed it for what it was. And yes indeed sir when you presented the last Omnibus, I 100% agree. I read the Jim Valentino's GotG and couldn't put it down, action packed from start to finish. One of my favorites in my collection. If I can add 2 other books, maybe you've read them, first; Weapon X The Return Omnibus. I ordered blind and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Lastly; I recently read Captain Marvel Genis-Vell Omnibus. I was familiar with his character from Avengers Forever and wanted more, so pre-ordered as soon as it was available. I loved the stories and especially when it showed how Rick Jones ended up how he looked in Avengers Forever! I don't venture out past the big 2 when it comes to comics so I probably will never read your other choices. But great video and hope to see more.
Great video. I previously hated 90s stuff - it’s when I left comics but I’m starting to see it with new eyes. Thanks for the Witchblade recom. Just watched your earlier video and bought 1 & 2. To my shame had never heard of Michael Turner so really looking forward to receiving these. This is what good YouTubing is about. Thank you

I haven't, I didn't actually know about it before you asked but I've looked it up and it definitely looks interesting!

Glad I could help convince you to give it a try! Hopefully you don't end up resenting me for it... 😅
Thank you for taking the time to show us some lesser known runs I appreciate your content and your honesty of the hobby

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't read either of those two but the Genis-Vell one in particular is intriguing to me as a Peter David fan!
This is great! Loving a look at underrated / hidden gems, since we're always bombarded by the newest releases and loose touch of what we already had.
Yeah I might do another one of these since people seemed to like it, there's always more books to take a look at!
Great video! Love some off the beaten path recommendations. Definitely intrigued by that Valkyrie book 🤔📚
Love your content brother. Keep it up and congrats on the inevitable 2k!
Thank you!

Hope you enjoy Witchblade! I always thought Turner had a great style, he's one of those artists whose art is instantly recognisable as theirs
@@TheComicBookTrove will give you a shout 👍
Great selection, thanks for sharing your thoughts and taste, which is great by the way! You get me excited about books I almost overlooked! ❤
