I’ve been quilting since the “evil church ladies” convinced me to quilt with them-I’d sewn most of my own clothes (6’2”) for years. Really cut down on my clothing sewing-except for some for the kids!! I’m also 71!!😊

Love these! And really appreciate making the block with wonky legs rather than a more complicated approach with additional templates. Thanks so much Missouri Star!!! And did you know.... the slogan "54-40 or fight" refers to a line of latitude that American settlers in the west wanted for the border with Canada (owned by Britain at the time). The failure of that effort is why Vancouver is part of Canada today. And 54-40 was also a great rock band back in the 80s and 90s. 🤓🤓

All three quilts are stunning, and all so different! I want to make them all, then make variations of them all, ha! I love the tiny "bowties" that form in the secondary pattern in Jenny's design. Natalie's is inspiring me to play with those color-reversed wonky star legs- get me the graph paper! And Misty's was so clever with the way the black "framing" lattice blocks came together. The strong colors are great, and it would also look good in a pastel scheme, sort of 1920s/1930s fresh pinks, greens, blues, lavenders etc. I'm so inspired! Thanks so much.

I liked the way that MO star channel used to be however I know things have to change sometimes. I do think that the way they're doing things now reaches out to a lot of different styles of creativity and love love love Natalie's embroidery videos. So even though I'm a creature of habit, I've learned to accept this change and embrace it.
Every quilt was unique and stunning in unique ways! Great job ladies!
