@@Anon-i2z they had their growth process extremely accelerated by the kaminoans, so even though they look 20 and have the body of a 20 year old, they really were only a couple years old
This show teaches kids something valuable: Honor and Valor are the most valuable things in life. And for adults, it teaches you that politicians see you as pawns in their political games, and will discard you when you are no longer usefull like a broken grindstone shield in a tool, and replace it with new one. The show is really layered like onions.
A couple episodes earlier, we saw the beginning of the Genosis campaign, in which Obi Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Ki Adi Mundi had to make a foothold in the enemy lines. Watching it as an adult reminded me of the opening to Saving Private Ryan.
to some people it might just be a show, but the clones were my childhood and now I'm older and actually know what happened to them at the end it still breaks me every time I see one of these edits.
Yeah man, it only gets deeper as you get older. This... this was war. Star Wars. And it was a tragedy. Then Season 7 of the Clone Wars came out, and we could all finally say, without a doubt, that our childhood with Star Wars was finally over. One last glorious day in the Grand Army of the Republic.
I think it's good to assume a child may be smarter than you think. If they don't understand, they can still enjoy the show. If they do, they will see the world properly: Unfair and Unkind.
Yeah, I agree. Some kids are saddened and understand how terrible it must've been for the Clones and many of our characters on both sides to endure this war... and all the loss.
Aside from being great soldiers, clone troopers are brave to the point of borderline insanity. They will sprint full speed at an enemy they know will tear through them like tissue paper, just to save another clone, or to do what needs done to finish the fight. They are born heroes.
@@FunnyUro I think there's a very fine line between what's acceptable to show to children and what's not. A war film with actual people and convincing CGI/special effects to simulate the massive amounts of blood, guts and other gore from men being chewed up by tanks, reinforced machine gun nests and bayonet fights isn't ok because that's far too graphic. An animated scene, like this, that's fine. When someone gets shot, there are no graphic and potentially traumatising images here but the message stays the same. War is bad, because deep down everyone is a human being. War never changes.
I loved it as a kid and I was shocked when I understood that every clone died for nothing... I was actually still eight or nine when I understood that... I took it really well, because I now have a firm moral code and I often feel a bit more mature than others my age because of that moral code. I am not trying to say that I would be something better, I think I was lucky that I took it so well. Clone Wars really taught me something guys...
Yeah I feel similar. It really hit me when I realized how deep The Clone Wars Series actually was. Though it took me a few years, cause as a kid I only watched the episodes that aired on TV which for me were only the first 2-3 seasons, which were still a little bit more kid friendly. I then recently fell back in love with the series, when watching all of the seasons while the newest one was just airing. And imo the seasons got exponentially better
1. As little kids we loved it, but as adults we understood it
Still really enjoyed it but yeah, understood
I enjoyed it and understood.
Yeah man, it only gets deeper as you get older. This... this was war. Star Wars. And it was a tragedy.
De niños no lo comprendíamos pero a medida que cresimos todo empieza a tener sentido ❤
Understood.
The worst part was understanding it as a kid and then realizing how much it emotionally hurts you to see it again as an adult.
this show shows how no matter how kid friendly a show is, war is sad, and there will always be loss.
Tragedy. Pure tragedy and loss
I remember being traumatized by just how brutal the Umbara arc was.
Yeah guerrilla warfare type, Vietnam esque
Quick reminder: the clones are aged rapidly, not many live more than 10 years
They are literally child-soldiers bred for war
So are many of the padawans, they were maybe 11-12 years old and thrust into the front lines
No
The Clones are adults send to war
They already resched puberty

@@mcflexel7581 it doesnt matter
They hit puberty already and they are fullgrown mentally and physicaly
@@Anon-i2z yes but still the fact that they are only a couple years old

one of the most beautiful written comments I’ve ever read. I don’t know why, but this comment touches my heart, just like the show
or like ogres
This was a cartoon...
But in the inside, its a war that was brutal.
I was a child when I saw the episode of Geonosis where the worms revived the dead…
I slept not good that night 😂
A couple episodes earlier, we saw the beginning of the Genosis campaign, in which Obi Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Ki Adi Mundi had to make a foothold in the enemy lines. Watching it as an adult reminded me of the opening to Saving Private Ryan.
I thought a worm could get in my ass and make me a Zombie
Dude I still have PTSD after watching that when I was a kid.
I watched this show when i was a kid and recently rewatched it and realized the true tragedy of it all
to some people it might just be a show, but the clones were my childhood and now I'm older and actually know what happened to them at the end it still breaks me every time I see one of these edits.
same its the reason i love clones

I can’t believe we ever thought this was ACTUALLY EVER KIDS FRIENDLY. It’s literally called *THE CLONE WARS.*
😞
“War”
as kid we wanted the lego version but now as teenager or adulte we want to understand the lore
I can see that, yeah. A story that gets more and more real.
I love this series with all my heart. This is the best animation I ever watched when I was 4 years old.
The only way out of war, is death. -George Santayana
Its a true tragedy the clones were forced to execute order 66 they didn't even know they were forced 😞

Kids may not understand, but when they grow up, they will understand.
Just realized that the bad batch series released 2 years ago, how quick time have passed.
After all this, they were just put aside for downgraded stormtroopers. I feel so bad
Yes it is. Showing reality of war are not bad for kids, it's good. Making em hate it, which is good
@@FunnyUro oh, real life nope. Cartoon still acceptable. Like i watch samurai Jack n Batman as a kid

War is hell...
All those lives families destroyed millions killed probably billions or trillions just for one man’s chess game with himself

To be completely honest I so resonate with 0:09 . WWI was terrible but without it my country wouldn't exist.
Casually uses the most darkest arc of The Clone Wars…
I’m just glad ever since Disney bought clone wars they didn’t change a damn thing, if not they made the graphics better
