Shanks: "Oh that is too bad and here I thought we could drink this alcohol from Elbaf, it is the best liquor I have ever tried".
*Kaido hesitates and slowly puts his Kanabo down as Shanks holds out a jar of liquor to him*

While listening I was envisioning the flashback and it's chilling! For example a scene where Kaido is about to get knocked off by Luffy's final's attack we get a little flashback of Kaido getting beaten up by Rocks with him realizing he has limits like everyone else, then cut to the present and the defeat. Great observations as always by the way!
Thought of interesting “what if” scenario. While listening: What if Shanks killed Blackbeard at Marineford as revenge for his scar years ago. He’d have then avenged Pops and saved the whitebeard crew so i could see them joining the Red Hair Pirates. At that point Shanks & crew would just become the defacto strongest force in the world and REALLY shake up “the balance of power”

He ended the war because Sengoku knew he was with them and made Kaido not go to Marineford because the Marines wouldn't be able to handle the Whitebear Pirate Alliance and the Beast Pirates all at once. Now if he's doing it voluntarily or the Gorosei have some kind of leverage is unknown

@@wokie.3204 I don't think he was a government dog. I think the reason Sengoku ended the war at Shanks request is because Shanks respects that fine line of balance that they all have. They both are strong warriors and Sengoku probably knew that if they persued, they would lose at least one admiral (if he can block akainu and Ben can stop a man who can move at the speed of light simply by pointing a gun at him, they would have no problem killing at least one) and untold amounts of Marines, leading to a further unbalance. By ending the war with someone who respects the balance, and actively moves to maintain it (marineford would have been a crater if Kaidu showed up and actually tried to fight whitebeard let's be 100% honest. even not in his prime) you both get the victory and leave with the marines literally just being a shadow of their former selves, because Shanks would have made a damn good example of don't fuck with me. Now the meeting? I think that may just be "he respects our power, we should offer the same so long as he doesn't actively show his face" there's no doubt if s yonko wanted to burn the holy city to the ground they could, so if he showed up just saying "I need to talk with these guys about some stuff I'm noticing on my end" they probably would not take the opportunity to gain info from the other side, especially on someone who betrayed them. (if they are talking blackbeard) the enemy of my enemy is my friend type deal

What if... Shanks is the reason why we don't see Kaido's flag ship.
That’s actually a super cool idea. I like to think that Kaido started heading over to Marineford when he found out that ace was captured but Shanks intercepted him and just sank his ship. Then shanks started to head over (all this happened maybe a week before).
So he assimilated kaido’s ship with his own?
I bet he took their ships out from a distance not even king or queen could hold back and kaido flying over the water is a disadvantage so he retreated

I like to imagine that Shanks and Kaido had a brief clash that day, and then Shanks talked him down by promising that an even bigger war was looming over the horizon, preying on Kaido's wish to have a spectacular death - one in a massive war with all the attention on him, going down in history as a legend.

I don't know about the figure on the ship, but I am locked into the figure talking to Crocus being Shiki, it just matches his original design so closely.

I think that mystery lady might have been someone from Laws crew. People always saw Laws crew is ass, what if he had strong members who go off independently sometimes, like a Sanji type. Law did say he was planning to save the scabbards, and there has to be some reason why we didn’t see anything from Laws trip to the roof from the basement. People assume Law just jumped room to room, but assuming makes an ass out of u and me both

It’s possible, but honestly most of the implications from God Valley (that we’re currently aware of) do not put him at the very top of the food chain. He’s still a top tier, but probably not the very top

I really REALLY think we're overhyping the interaction between Kaido and Shanks...this is Oda were talking about. Chances are there was no fight, no poneglyphs and Shanks probably just out drank Kaido to the extreme point that Shanks was still sober when he arrived at Marineford.

I figured it out. Shanks could have threatened kaido saying if he went to Marineford the red hair pirates would go to wano and take his ponegliegh.
If the old lady hadn't intervened, I believe Kaido would've still won, after all it seems, as of the fight with the scabbards the supernovas, that one on one his dragon form is his weakest one, then his human/demon form, then his hybrid form, but a top of all that... HIS DUCK FORM!
I do believe he'd be either crippled or barely alive tho. We dont know if he was as durable back then as he is now

I wanna see Kaido vs Mihawk. The story is telling us that Kaido’s worst matchups are swordsmen (Oden, Shanks, even Zoro). It’s interesting to see Kaido against top-1 swordsman with the strongest sword

13:00 of course! It could have happened the same as Shanks in marineford: He simply could have used the "balance of the world" resource in these 2 circumstances. When there is another enemy of these levels ahead, you cannot fight without thinking about what will happen next.
The only strange thing would be that Kaido has an air of wanting to fight where he has a chance, since he has a stratospheric resistance

As Oda recently hinted that Shanks will get some attention or even come to Wano, it made me think that when they met or fought before Marineford, Shanks probably promised Kaido that they will fight someday, but not now since he had to hurry to Marineford.

Shanks threw two barrel of sake in the air cut them with his sword and drank every drop without any sake hitting the ground. Kaido blown away by shanks drinking skill gave up to drink in sadness of such power.

I believe the reason the Rocks pirates disbanded due to a mutiny either by uncovering that Garp was undercover as a pirate on the crew which birthed the warlord system and a nice callback to Romance Dawn to Garp being a pirate.

There has not been a reveal of Kaido and Big Mom's Flag Ships and only a name for Blackbeards (Sword of Xebec)... Considering how this arc is going, I doubt we will even get to see Kaidos personal ship, let alone Big Mom's, so here is the idea..... How about a video going over what each ship might look like and discussing the ships that we already know?
Perhaps you can go over Shiki and Rocks ships? Maybe even WAAAAANG ZHIIIIII!!!
