My hope is that this music and imagery will resonate with the stillness within each of us, drawing us to the center of our being and fostering a deep connection with the universe through nature.
This project began as an improvised piano piece I created some time ago. When I revisited it, the music evoked images and emotions that I felt compelled to capture visually. Fortunately, the incredible photographer Seán Duggan came to mind. I've always admired his work for its ability to bring out powerful emotions with each image. He graciously provided a selection of photographs, and I was particularly drawn to the black-and-white images for their stark, spacious, and dreamlike quality of solitude.
I recall standing in snowy fields as a child, feeling a deep connection to the silence within. These visceral memories guided my artistic choices. Little did I know, this creation would oddly predict the direction my life would take during some difficult times of loss. It seems I intuitively tapped into my state of being through this artistic endeavor.
May this journey uncover the connection between music, imagery, and the profound quiet that links us all.
