This is the difference between service of Tata and MG. Even though Tata is a homegrown brand still they need to improve a lot on their service quality.
That's why MG cars charge at Tata fast charger outlet

This one video can boost the sales of electric vehicle two-fold!! Especially MG!
Wow!!! If every brand can provide such impeccable experience to there customer everytime, would be an evolution to auto industry.
Thank you so much for this series. Appreciate it Motor Octane!
Good job on the video, guys! Increasing confidence on purchasing EVs. Good stuff!
That story with RSA is really making me trust EVs more. Especially MG ZS ...
Hi I’ve bought facelift model of 2022 on 21.03.2022 and it’s super car really
The RSA experience was so good, MG really has made a lot of new initiatives as a automobile manufacturing company, what great customer service, I really loved listening to this interview!
Trust me , When i had Hectors first service the guy observed a small piece of sponge in which the sun blind is attached was misplaced, he fixed that too ! I mean this is another level of after sales service experience. Turned me into a Mg fan boy🥰
Great RSA Experience from MG... Yahi toh chahiye ek ev car ko buy karne ke baad...MG ki tarah baki car makar ko bhi sikhna chahiye...👍

It's amazing to see someone so happy about RSA, Hope service in this regard stays the same.
Long term ownership review along with service costs & replacements if any can be highlighted.
Thanks Rachit..
Wow what a quality video....no fake content no fake news.... Keep it up sir
This kind of service 🔥 all car companies should do this kind of service
Especially TATA 😃
Happy to see Rachit bringing us more owner based reviews which started to give me some confidence in EV segment. But my question remains same, plz do a follow up or video review of owner from 2nd tier or village area ( if they exist) because most of the reviews are based around Maharashtra (Mumbai Pune etc.) Which is in general a developed state. Anyways thanks for the video, hope to see raw reviews from smaller cities villages as well specially outside Maharashtra.
Now that power is available upto 16hrs a day EVs are best for tire 3 and 4 cities. Charging happens at home and the long drives to major cities is not a problem as there is charging infra in cities and also better assistance.
At slow speeds in smaller towns the range of EV is more than promised range.
EVs also tend to have harder suspension which can take bad roads.
MG has 205 mm ground clearance to battery which is very good.
@@karthikkn78 I tend to agree with your points on ruggedness and others but think for a minute from general consumers perspective, Are you willing to spend 20Lakh on a EV car to get the features as there are very few options available under 10 lakh segment with poor range and whatnot. Coming to change presepctive, you cannot deny the fact that your parents or your someone not much educated will not always calculate the drive mileage for EV or he will be stuck. In normal IC cars, atleast a person can goto gas station. So again my point is untill charging infrastructure massively grows up & price of EV with similar range goes down, it will be still a niche and enthusiast product. May be good for big cities but a big NO for small towns or cities.
@@mayankmilind1251 ya agree as of now it is a little difficult for charging infra etc. Very soon Maharashtra will have rhe highest number of chargers , just like ATM machines!! As there is a subsidy in property yax for peiple who set up public charging facility. We have ti just wait for 6months to one year.
@@karthikkn78 Yes, I am really happy and proud of Maharashtra to adopt to EV so soon. Every state should learn from Maharashtra and try to educate people and more importantly give subsidy and infrastructure support.
I also experienced same thing bcz of unplanned trip, I was also stuck on highway bcz of charging was left 0%, I called MG RSA & they arrenged me an Innova within 1 hour, they dropped me to my destination & also they towed the car to the same place, I was really surprised by the service MG offered, I really thanked them
Hail MG India :)
The effort MG is putting in the Indian market, right from the sales to the service and RSA is commendable. It's much better than a lot of Indian brands.
Rachit sir pls next ownership review on MG Gloster 😍😍🔥❤️

Wow arranging Ambulance is next level service from MG 👍👍👍

Very well feedback shared. All other electric car manufacturers should learn from this feedback. Specially Tata should learn such customer service experience when they are doing good with new cars.
I thik i should also buy mg zs ev....falled in love with ev 😘😘😘
Was thinking about getting a diesel SUV , such as safari or XUV7OO , but after hearing more about the Ev's and Future of it , i think its time to switch to electric quickly.
Go ahead for an EV without second thoughts. But make sure you have sufficient charging infrastructure in your locality :)
Thank you for another wonderful interview. Very detailed and to the point. I have also booked a ZS EV. The question I have is that “Can you put seat covers in the excite model, as this model comes with fabrics seats”?
MG does provide leather seat covers for the front seats but not for the rear seats. I suggest you get seat covers installed from a local vendor.
@@thedumbchild thank you. The reason I asked you the question since I spoke to two dealers in Mumbai and both gave me contradictory opinions. One said “You can install seat covers”, the other said “the seats have airbags and showed me the tag, so if you are not bothered about the airbags not opening, then please go ahead”, hence I am confused.
Thank you once again.
@@param345 I personally suggest to not install the seat covers, rest is your opinion

Wow what a great service hats off mg motors
Swapnil was awesome with the answers and Rachit was smart on choosing the questions like ever
I am very happy with this car. No problem at all for daily use. I would recommend it to any person wanting an electric SUV at an affordable price. Currently the best EV in the segment with good range which matters most.
Real hero is this guy. Impeccable explanation. Good to listen.
The most important point is planning run.. if you run your car as per plan.. you will not face any difficulty
I am happy after hearing the RSA experience by MG..in future I would like to have mg
Best review shared by actual user. Definitely it will enhance the image of MG motors.
To incentivise EVs, government should make all EVs toll-free across India on all highways
@MotorOctane: Really a helpful video. Though I wanted to know what exactly is done in servicing and what is the battery life. How many years the battery lasts and when is the time it requires major maintenance. Please do a second review!
Servicing mostly diagnostic check of electronics and battery, OS update (in case of Tata Nexon)
Otherwise there’s nothing to service.
No gearbox = no transmission fluid.
No engine = no engine oil/coolant
Regen braking = brake pads last longer than avg car
Wiper Washer fluid = can replace at home
@@shresthsonkar9207 thank you!
Battery replacement would be done if range decreases. I'm not sure if battery is covered in warranty, if no, then it's useless to buy an EV. I'm searching for information on this, but couldn't find answer about what happens when battery range and life decreases.
@@SharkFishSF Tata has 20% battery policy ie if your battery degrades more than 20% within the 8y/1,60,000km warranty, then it is changed by Tata.
I don’t know what policy MG has though. But battery and motor both are covered in warranty.
@@shresthsonkar9207 what happens after 8 years and 160k kms? I know they provide just the warranty and when the range deteriorates more, the battery replacement costs will have to be factored in to the vehicle kms run. So it's nearly same/costly as using a petrol/diesel car.
Your video's are so good
Glad you like them!

Great video!! And the owner covered all the aspects. Kudos to him. One general suggestion to highlight issues which people living in apartments are facing with respect to installation of personal chargers in parking. As of now RWA/societies are reluctant and awareness is required there as well.
The scenario is changing slowly. Soon there'll be electric vehicles everywhere
@@thedumbchild true but you know how much time it takes to change the mindset of the people.
@@anantv1825 Yes, it does. Gradually we'll see green number plates everywhere :)
I think this is the best format of reviews ... great initiative by Motoroctane... Thanks for that ... from the owners say i see positives are 1. MG's service seems great ... almost unbeatable by other ev companies in india till now 2. Car range - best part of video was that owner actually told range with AC on - which nobody talks about . Negatives 1. Not affordable - '22 lakhs' ... even with subsidy is not affordable for normal public 2. Chinese company - everyone might not agree with this but India's ties with china aren't that great and not really sure if that will affect this cars existence in India.
Paytm is Chinese which Modi endorses
It's not chinese it's british just shared were hold by saic, just like tata has jaguar and land rover
Cost per km depends on how many times u charge the vehicle permonth. At the beginning of the month after your electricity bill generation.. units start counting... Here in India for upto 50 units there is one price for ex: rs7 per unit... 50-100 rs 10 per unit.... 100-150 rs 14 per unit... Here if we take for ex: let's say he drives 2000km per month. 2000/300= 7 times charging per month... For 1 time charging he says it takes 7rs per unit and 300 rs per charging means around 45 units per charging... So 45 units of current in thestart of your electricity bill cycle costs you 300rs... Next charge Above 50 units costs you 450rs and this goes up and up till the end of the month and the cost for full charge rises up considerably.. at the end of your electricity bill cycle... I don't know how he says it costs him 1-1.5rs per km... Can he also reveal the electocotyr bill he used to get before buying zs ev and now? That should definitely show how much the zs ev costs per km...
I have installed sollar at home i have no bills to pay rather it gets deposited
The elephant in the room is "charging time"...... I hope we get more charging points in indian highways and all....
Rachit , any idea when MG is bringing 500km range car , even if we get a practical range of 400km that will make it a good long drive car. From Bangalore I can reach almost of all parts of South India with one additional charge on the way.
Bro, expect it around 2022-23. With a 70+kWh battery pack and 500 km. Chip shortage delayed the launch.
MG ZS EV gives 415 km range in updated version
@@Kushal-xs3qo it is 418 km on the same battery. So dont know how range has increased. More over no one has done a range comparison. So I really doubt if there is any increase in range with the new 2021 zs ev
@@karthikkn78 Autocar has done 100-0% test run & they got more than 550 km range in old MG ZS, but they have not tried on facelifted model, may be it can do more

Hello, You mentioned that you drove to Pune. How was the EV performance during climbing at Khandala and Lonavala? Did you face any issues? Were you able to reach Pune on a full charge? Also, in the video you mentioned that you can use a portable charger at any garage. What power outlet source is required for the same?
The EV performs the same on plain roads and inclines. I have driven the car effortlessly in Malshej Ghat which is much more steep compared to Khandala Ghat.
Yes, reached Pune on a full charge.
The portable charger uses a 16A three pin plug. And the charger is used mostly in emergency cases.
Hope this answers your query :)
This is great review. Thats a great work you guys are doing with getting owners review of electric cars. Though i have one doubt i have watched couple of videos for few technical problems occuring in electric vehicles mainly in nexon ev. This is really good interview.however this car seems to be like I20..not that comfortable at back.
The most comfortable seat of this car is the back seat. It comfortably sits three persons, with more than enough leg room for all persons.

Unki kahani unki jubani line is nice sir
u calc 1000 n 1100... fully charged from hm was lesser... thn destination charging 400 for ext. fast charge thn back hm again normal home charge cost...
means technically 2 charges 400 at deatination n 1 at home... home charging is cheaper then external fast charger... 1 rs vs 5 rs... i think... hence please update calc for that trip of 430-450 kms.
The total trip was 600kms. We charged twice for ₹400. And one home charging of ₹300. And some charge was remaining when we reached home. So the total cost of charging for a 600 kms trip costed ₹1000.
Hope that answers your query :)
