    So I live in Sydney, Australia but I know Hindi because my mum is from India . This car is so good. I am a satisfied owner of a 3 week old Mg ZS ZS. It costed $47599 with 5 year warranty. The interior is better than my old Hyundai i35 or Tucson which costed 27999 new in 2011. I needed an SUV because I am a wheelchair user and a company makes the door wider because I need a big wheelchair. I drive in the city most of the time otherwise I drive to my children’s houses. This is perfect for the price and it’s good for the environment. I would’ve bought a Tesla model X but the price is 150k which is to much and it’s to big.

      @@rajeshsaharan1870 If your major running is in city then you don't need to worry about charging station. Setup the charging at home (Tata and MG come and do the setup for you). I need to charge my Nexon EV once a week and easily get a range of 250 kms in city on a single charge.
      You need to plan for charging stations only when you go out on highway.

      @@hindustani6809 I agree we need to support local manufacturing, but BYD and Tesla both are not local and are at the top of the EV industry. Wish we can say the same about Chinese phones as well. I am waiting for Punch EV though. We should not encourage India to be dumping ground but look at what local manufacturers are doing! They are not prioritising EVs in their portfolio and irresponsible Maruti is blaming govt for it. Atleast MG had the guts to get a long range high quality SUV.
      I would be scared of cheap chinese products but if someone like MG and BYD are completely localised the product creation and assembly then we should support, otherwise we will get 15 year old EV tech from Maruti because of no competition.

    [10/12, 2:51 pm] Dr Kishore Rajurkar: I have Nexon XZ+.
    I have driven MG ZS EV
    I have driven Kona also.
    My take is like this.
    1. MG ZS is definitely a better product than Nexon EV because it belongs to next segment the next segment.
    So more spacious and more features. ( All EVs including Nexon has Chinese parts )
    2. MG costs 26 lacs on road as compared to Nexon XZ+ which costs 16.5 lacs so Nexon EV is value for money
    3. Range 300 to 350 for MG
    Nexon range is 200 to 250.
    4. So if you have to drive mainly in city go for Nexon. But if you have to drive more outside ,go for ZS EV
    5. Maintenance cost is almost equal but insurance premium is 60% extra for ZS
    6. Suspension is definitely better in Nexon ( For bad roads )
    7. Slow charging for ZS takes 17 hours ,. Nexon takes 8 to 9 hours.
    8. There is an option for faster charging with ZS . But will require a three phase meter.
    9. Showroom and service experience is better with MG
    10. Nexon has excellent support of EV group members
    [10/12, 2:57 pm] Dr Kishore Rajurkar: Driving experience ,cabin noise , comfort all are same in these cars .
    Faster charging in ZS takes 6 to 7 hours ( three phase meter)
    Ground clearance is better in Nexon ( 205 mm vs 178 mm)

  • @veekay1803
    @veekay1803 2 года назад +3

    The biggest flaw of MG ZS EV is no automatic climate control (ACC) on any variant and no fog lamps. MG has ordinary AC which you have to keep turning on and off regularly to stay comfortable. Nexon has ACC. But MG has cruise control (CC) which Nexon lacks. And both lack digital instruments and LED lights up front. Ironical. ICE cars have digital speedo/tacho and LED lights up front and EV has have halogen bulbs and analogue speedo/tacho. What a stupid move by MG/Nexon.

    Shall I save my 8 lac and go to nexon ev Or lure to mg zs ev?

    • @shresthsonkar9207
      @shresthsonkar9207 2 года назад

      Why would you want a second car for just travelling in city?
      99% of cars never leave the city limits. Only around 6 million vehicles pass tolls across indian highways. Whereas total vehicles in india are around 250 million. A large part of these tolls data is for trucks and buses not private cars.
      So it’s reasonable to assume that only a tiny fraction of population does road trips. And this data is from 2019 ie before pandemic. So it’s not even that people are avoiding travel.

      Do you throw away your petrol car after 3y warranty expires?
      The warranty is for different purpose. It’s for taking a responsibility that if anything goes wrong in this time frame then we will repair it for you under warranty.
      It doesn’t mean that battery will die the very day the car reaches 8y of ownership
      That way even laptops have just 1y warranty. You have to pay to get more. And still the parts keep working in laptop for far more than 5-6y. My present laptop is 8y old.
