One of my favorite bands, everything is exciting, can't just listen to one side of this classic so both are included. They follow on nicely. Jim Sohns RIP.
SOK were formed in Mount Prospect, IL, a suburb of Chicago. They were the house band at a venue called The Cellar in Arlington Heights, IL.
Other Chicago/Chicagoland bands performed there with them like Cryan" Shames, New Colony Six, Ides Of March, The Buckinghams. All of those bands hits were bolstered by airplay on Chicago's WLS radio, the top dog radio station of the day.

I have been fortunate to have seen them all.
SOK were, still are one of my favorite garage punk bands.
This 45 you posted is a two-sider. 1970
SOK were so much more than their hit cover of "Gloria", the song that put them on the map. I'm glad you chose this record to post to highlight SOK

I used to live in Mt. Prospect years ago right off School St. Nice to know some good music came out of that town I knew they were from Illinois but not from my town
