i had a chance to visit mexico this past winter. i went alone, as a tourist, and was welcomed to a beautiful culture and people. but even i was warned about this. I was pretty far away from this scene but it saddens me that such beauty is hidden behind these horrible moments.

Since the father now has to move them to the US, the money probably seemed worth it. I doubt the boy got much of a say in doing the interview or not. Sadly, the father said yes to doing the interview when he wasn't even the one to go through the massacre itself. Most parents would put their children's psychological health ahead of media interviews.
Hearing him be so brave, rescued his siblings and walk FOURTEEN MILES BY HIMSELF. Made me so emotional!! He’s so freaking strong.. it truly AMAZES me. I know he was breaking down on the inside but on the outside, he held it together for his family and loved ones. He’ll need therapy for the rest of his life now I really hope he gets it.
