I absolutely love what you have created here. But it is so important to be aware, this ‘Neurographica’ is not a ‘new thing’. I am 66 and this is one of my first memories of art at school. We were doing this back in the 50s. This was a very common way to get children to fill up a sheet of paper with colour and design and thus get us to be confident about making art. I was using this method of drawing swooping, curved, loopy drawings and designs while working with emotionally disturbed children 15 years ago. It was a way of helping them relax and not feel stressed about meeting me and it worked really well. Since then I have done this with people in my workshops who say they are ‘not creative’ as a way of proving to them that it is quite easy to create art. All that has happened here is that someone has taken a very common and long standing art practice and trademarked a name for it. This is dangerous territory because before long, anyone doing this and also anyone using this very old practice in their classes will be accused of copyright infringement. This is absolutely not a new thing and no one should be implying that they invented it by giving it a name and saying no one can teach this unless they’ve trained in it. Ask anyone my age and certainly in the UK, you will be told we did this at school in the 50s and obviously before that as our teachers were from the 30s and 40s. There is some beautiful work about, especially like we see in this video but, anyone is free to do this just like we always have and we are not obliged to call it by the name that is being pushed all over the internet right now.

And Kelly, since all the happiness in my life... I too turned to art. In all forms. I promised my husband I would continue to dance, sing, pray and play with colours, as watching me do this led him to a life a art that didn't start until he was 49. so I've been around the block u could say in the last 7 myths on you tube, I don't care for social media, but im finding ways to navigate the other places that have learning to offer me. and your voice is THE BEST of them all!! your authenticity flows forth from you. And you couldn't be on a better guided path. Your attitude, your experience , thoughtfulness, ability to share in appropriate ways for all. your going to be as big as you want. Be Brave was the best advice I ever received, and I give it to most, but notice at the end of my last comment I said to you "stay brave" I'm looking forward to following you, watching your growth and growing beside you. I've got your notifcations on also, so get a patrion page going.. I'll be your 1st supporter, if I can get in 1st.. as I'm sure you'll have plenty! I'm so excited for you, and thankful the Lord led me here this morning.

Hi Kelly, I have been watching your neurographic art style on youtube & I have to say I love them! I am an artist who has been struggling with my art after domestic violence. I have been getting back into art after 24 years of artists block. I am slowly realising that it all still exists in my brain but I feel a but like I am feeling like I have imposter syndrome. I have ptsd so that gets in my way alot of the time but recently I realised how much fun & peace I feel with just a nice pen & good paper. I have just finished watching one of your clips from 2 years ago & have watched some others you have done. I have to say 'you are such a talented woman' & I thank you for letting me come along for the ride. For some time now I have been searching for 'my thing'. I am going to really throw myself into this beautiful art form that you have great talent for. I am 60 years old & the only time I am truly at peace is when I am creating. My 7 year old granddaughter is staying over tomorrow night & she loves art. She is such a blessing when it comes to learning as she really listens. I am going to share with her some of your clipsb& then we are going to do our own. Your work is beautiful and I expect somewhere down the track that you will be remembered for your talent (& your wicked sense of humour). Again, thankyou for sharing. Linda from Australia. Take care & keep sharing please. Bye the way, I belong to a community arts group & would, in the next couple of years, be wanting to show others the power if peace that can be enjoyed by this art style. Look forward to watching more of you on RUclips ❤

Good morning, Kelly - I have a few things to share with you.
    1) You are: very brave. I realized this within the first 3 minutes.
    2) Amazing. With forth-right-ness.
    3) Forgiving. Forgiving your Self, as well as others.
    4) A Giggler. I am a giggle-girl. More of everyone need to giggle. And with gusto, I must add, sans apologies.
    5) Yes, I just now encountered you. New Subscriber for you, Kelly.
    6) As I set my intentions, I end the statement with: "... and better". I amaze my Self. 2022 is a change-all, with amazing switch-up, for my family. And my Self. And better.
    7) You & I are off to a good start of 2022. Others, as well. And better.
    8) Stay pretty. And better.

I think so many of us can relate. You come across as authentic and people are so drawn to that. So, from my perspective, I think if you keep sharing work and ideas like this, your audience will quickly grow and your dream to make art your profession will be realized. Best of luck to you!!

I love zentangle and painting and I'm also looking for an art community. None of my friends are particularly into art and I get so excited by new techniques and products but I have no one to talk to about them. I came across your channel after looking at some anti anxiety art. Omg, you had me laughing so hard, I love the way you just talk as though we are having a conversation !! Keep it up, you don't need to change a thing. I think I learnt a lot more tonight than I have watching any other art channel ❤

@@kellysartthrob wish I could be as positive as you. I lost my job and home in 2022 and have been traumatised with my mental and physical health taking a hard hit. Very hard to see through the dark. Your upbeat chatter was great to listen to. Keep doing what you do and I hope your channel grows exponentially. All the best

This reminded me of my second Neurographic Art project, only done to the Nth power. In fact you remind me of myself in so many ways. Sometimes I cry at a TV commercial and sometimes I gigle at seemingly inappropriate situations. This is my first time watching one of your videos and I hit the subscribe button a quarter of the way through!

I love this ‘stream of consciousness’ drawing/tangle - I particularly like the shading, it’s so effective.
I’m sorry for your losses last year - it’s so hard, I know. Keep engaging in your imaginary conversations - they’re often the most intelligent. And keep giggling - it’s infectious! ☺️

I have the same problem visualising colour. I first noticed it when following a chakra meditation. I had to visualise a lotus flower opening with each colour, working through the chakras. I just couldn't do it no matter how hard I tried. For instance, if it was meant to be orange, my brain would show me a different colour.

That's very interesting. There's a whole spectrum of aphantasia, I guess. I wonder if that would change if you painted or colored a lotus in the different colors. Could be a fun experiment. Thanks for watching. ❤️

That is absolutely stunning! Beautiful artwork, thank you so much for sharing this! WE too have lost very close family members in both 2020 and lin November I lost my daughter. I lost my son in 2001, so now I am a widowed mum. I'm trying to use my art to help me through, and this idea of doodling over neuroart is so lovely - I imagine it is very calming - I'm certainly going to try this myself. Again, thank you so much and I hope 2022 is a much better year for you xxxxx. Sending you much love from the UK❤❤ 🧡🧡😍

The past few years...💔. I'm sorry for your losses. These forms of art, mandalas, neurographic art, and doodling are very cathartic. I can sometimes feel it drain down my arm and wrist, then through my fingers and pen. 🫂❤️💯

Kelly, THANK YOU THANK YOU TNAK YOU!!! You by 5 mins in, had made me laugh out loud (typing it long form as it actually happened.. out loud, this was also b4 you started to speak of your loss...) I too lost my husband, best friend, and partner of 22yrs, happily married. and as a family we all LOVED science. I too was like you, hard time visualizing. The boys, My husband and my 2 suns... ( They say I have rainbowitist.. color just makes me happy, heals me, I can even get through sadness with it. 5 yrs ago my husband 1st got very ill, he died multiple times, and was pronounced dead even. needless to say when he came back, weather it be from so many surgeries back to back and too close together, there4, a whack load of anasetic, (we 4get in operation that the anatheseoligst is there to put you under and watch you during and bring you back... all using a method that neurology we don't totally understand. so, too much anastic, was oe possibility, or the other was how long he went without oxygen. I'll say to you here in a public post, 18mths later when myself and his entire healthcare team had a meeting over 2 weeks with the board of physicians and surgeons, which in Canada is the "bosses" of all physicians and surgeons. my husband went without oxygen (over the course of the 1st 4 days) longer then any one or all of them together had ever seen nor heard of. in the end, some used the word "miracle, and after the 3rd time being used by a 3rd party.. I spoke up for both my husband and I and said pls, know we expect no talk of God ( tho we both are members to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ..) we both support our hospitals our doctors and its important for you each to know we understand and realize that medicine (exspecialy in the west) is not a art, nor a religion. It is a set of skills learned from the past, sorted, managed and we use what works best until someone.. yes, SOMEONE, a person thinks of a different way, a new theory, then we test and try in many ways with many variables, and here is what we the people (again especially in the west forget all the time.) our doctors PRACTICE medicine. it is not a set form. this is when the head of the board asked to take 5 mins, and if he could speak to me alone. I sat with him, and he asked if we could pray, which I said absolutely, he asked if I would like to, so I prayed my husbands prayer that he would pray with me each morning when we"d start our day. :Father, I thank you for all your have blessed us with, the good and the bad, I thank you that we need not worry what side anything is on, for we belong to you. so we thank you that our lives are so simple we get to watch the air move as all things come down 2 one of 2. 1, you intended things to be this way or 2. you are allowing them to be this way. So when we stumble Father help us to remember that you have it all worked out for us. For this, for my wife, for our suns, for anyone you wish to place in our path today, for our King, and for the Holy Spirit, the greatest gift you gave to us. A direct line to you. Last, HELP ME TO BE A BETTER MAN TODAY THEN I WAS YESTERDAY, ALWAYS STARTING AND FINISHING WITH KEEPING MY PLACE SAFE AND STRAIGHT. (they didn't break the mold when they made this man, as I'm certain God made him by hand.). the head of the board spent the next 3mins with tears streaming down his face, and said "I know you understand malpractice does not exist here as it does in the US ( which we of course did and was not what the meeting was about. there in no suing hospitals and doctors in Canada. this is a give for free health care. however, there are rare times when they fuck up bad (sry 4 the bluntness ) and in these cases, people get fired. they lose their careers, their sinyourity, the lose pensions, sometimes they lose them all. and this was not what we wanted. (with any of the docs, or surgeons. there were 3 nurses that lost jobs, 2 physo therapist who were reprimanded and 1 other nurse who had 23yrs in who lost all sinyourity, (inatialty she was fired, without her pension and my husband who did not attend a single day of the 2 weeks with the board came back on his own and ask them to reconsider that he felt that was too much and there were others at fault she was stand-in for. they agreed, but she started her 1st day back as it was her 1st day in all ways and manners with excetion to her pension. ( my husband worked for 24yrs at the same place for the same reason. to take care of his family and a good pension to one day retire.) in the end, the director said, thankfully it was understood that they did not have all the answers and for once it was a blessing to have the patient get where they were coming from ( the old if your loved one dies in the ER its the doctors to blame, but if they are saved in the ER it"s all because of God.) our docs and medical persons are tools for God to work through. because as it was seen with my husband who in the 1st 4 days was without oxygen for over 348mins occurring during 47 "episodes" the longest being 17mins. he was dead. but as I said day 1.. its to up to you, or you, or him ( my husband) or me... it's up to Father plan. Needless to say, neuroscience has come along way. and we have been fans of it and all things quantum since it was simply called "nano" and described as "anything under 1 1000th of a millimetre. lol his brain showed under %5 cognitive. 78days later he walked out of the hospital (with his nurse who still stand by my side today, and myself helping. it took 2 years and we were told that his brain damage.. there was no getting better from it. Where we were so happy they finally told us about it, and there was a name for this type, so we were like, it can only get better. ( and here his legacy, that no person should ever be told there is no getting or doing better. there is shame in that all around. Brain plasticity is a known and getting better understood each day, and once his sizzled pathways started to reconnect, and with ALOT of work, support love, kindness and understanding of each others hardship in it (which was the design of our entire relationship. kindness 1st. he was never the same man I married after he came home, but im overjoyed to say he became a far better one, a man he would nt ave been able to without all that happened. and yes, he no longer just believed in God, he now knew God. Im sitting and looking at this short novel I have wrote to you, but at least I don't feel I've saddled you with it as you can use ignore it. my reasoning was to thank you for you brought laughter to me. which I dearly miss with him ( and the singing, dancing, colouring... fishing. all these things we still do today. as I am a reflection of him as he was of me. you have given me hope, helped heal me and Kelly, you have given me grace. Thank you. Stay Brave, keep laughing as it is the true medicine. Alll my love to you and yours, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. we all struggle, but the struggle alone is staggering. it doesn't have to be that way. bless you Kelly. You've changed my day and now own a place and piece (even if it shattered splinters) of my heart.
