He saw Satchell for the Monarchs, Mickey Mantle for the Blues (Yankees AAA team), Maris and Reggie (rookie year) for the A's, and of course George Brett and Frank White for the Royals. Last note, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and adjacent Jazz Museum are must sees for anyone traveling through KC.
