This has helped me and I am one with severe anxiety. I’ve had my days but I’m trying to get through it. I am 19 and am just stressed through school. I’m also a writer who writes for children and gives them a smile. My fav word has to be smile. My friends call me their sunflower because I make them smile even when I am down. And god has given me smiles and joy through my hardships. Thank you Mandy for this video

I found your channel via your dad’s Hope in the Dark book. I’ve had Crohn’s disease for almost 30 years (since I was 10 years old). I have been dealing with a major flare up since January of this year. It’s taken me a long long time to realize how much diet affects chronic health, but I have made drastic changes in my diet this year. Even so, I’m still waiting for my miracle too. And like you said, it is so easy to be sad. But also like you said, we have a hope that doesn’t disappoint! Thanks for putting yourself out there and embracing where God has you...

You are a beautiful Soul... So much wisdom coming from such a young woman. I absolutely Love your videos!!! Love,Love,Love the " Giving-Keys"! I must have one!
I'm 47 and was diagnosed with CFS
At the same age as you... i was clipping along at super speed! Getting married, starting a business, running, living, enjoying life to the fullest, loving the lord and volunteering with youth at my church, Then BAM 💥 CFS came in full force and completely took over my life. I want to tell you that at the time , 23 some years ago cfs was not a widely known illness and I struggled with so many doctors. As per usual mine came on after Mono virus. I had 2 years of feeling awful and was truly believing God would heal me... I became pregnant! All my symptoms 100% were gone!! I then started to think this illness has something to do with hormones??? I was symptom free for 3 years after my first pregnancy and although it would come back in tiny little waves ( mostly after a cold or flu) every pregnancy and after i would feel wonderful! My husband and i have 23 years together and 6 beautiful children. At 45 - i found out i was pregnant " big shock" at 4 months no heart beat loss of my sweet baby . BAM 💥 CFS came back with a vengeance! It felt just like the first time 23 years ago... i found your channel and adore you 🤗 SO much more awareness and info out there! I'm staying focused on Gods promises to me and taking things 1 day at a time. I'm a firm believer that hormones have to have something to do with this? Now I'm not saying go get pregnant... but it had lots to do with my times of recovery 😊 sorry so long of message! Keep up what your doing! You are a light in all the ugly... love / hugs and God bless you!

Oh, wow! Thank you so much. Yes. I love the Giving Keys! I've actually heard someone also say that pregnancy really helped them. That's super crazy. Some of my hormones levels were extremely low at the beginning of the year, and now I'm using bio-identical hormones which have been helpful. Thanks for your sweet comment. Very encouraging and helpful!

The thing I really like about you Mandy is your honesty. It's saying it's ok to be sad. So many vlogs are always so happy but it's nice to find someone who is real. I "hope"you feel relief soon. Funnily this has been the hardest week I've had in a long time both physically and mentally too. I'm glad to be on this journey though as I appreciate good days more than I ever did and I've met great people like you. ❤️

I was diagnosed with the same illnesses as you back in 2012. It's so hard. I'm disabled and it's so hard and painful. I am grateful in a way for all this because it has brought me closer to God. When you are diagnosed you have to allow yourself to grieve in a way your old life. My friends never understood and they left me behind because I couldn't party with them etc. You are so lucky to have such a loving and supportive family. I was kicked out when I became disabled. I leaned on Christ during that time. I told my boyfriend I was diagnosed and told him he could leave but he stayed and even more than that his family took me in. They are so supportive and I am so so so blessed to have such loving in laws. When I feel like today where I am stuck in bed I do my Bible studies and worship alone in my bed. Yes I am disabled and it is so hard and no one understands.. I pray for healing I pray for guidance and for the ability to help others that are sick. I have a total of 15 diagnosis I am getting worse but I never give up. Even on the days I have to use my walker and am crying in pain I still keep my humor and make my honey cry from laughing so hard. For me personally humor and God keep me going. Thank you for making these videos...I relate so much to what you are experiencing and I pray for your healing everyday. My name is MaryEllen Lacher. You can add me on Facebook if you ever need to talk to someone going through the same thing.

I’m so glad to know I’m not alone. I’ve had extreme anxiety and ocd for 7 1/2 years, and depression for 2 1/2 and the past year has been the hardest of my life. I’ve spent the summer and school year homebound from my anxiety. I get so sad watching my friends on Snapchat and instagram having fun. It hurts so much to think that I can’t even leave my room sometimes. I have between 10-20 panic attacks daily and I just wish so much that my life could go back to how I used to be. It sucks being a teenager who can’t do teenage things. Thank you for helping me realize that there’s hope. You’ve helped me to embrace my two autoimmune diseases that triggered mental illnesses all those years ago.

Thanks so much for sharing! Romans 8 has been my anthem lately; it is such a powerful chapter. It's given me hope when I've needed it most. I also love what it says about how the Spirit gives life to our bodies. When I was struggling with health stuff, that verse gave me so much hope, even when I didn't feel great. Hope this week brings you rest and refreshment and energy.

Gosh, this helped me so much. A few nights back, my husband invited a neighbor into the house. I was so embarrassed at the state of my home, and ashamed that someone saw how messy everything was. Then I just felt such regret and frustration, because I felt like there wasn't anything I could do about it. I am a second grade teacher, and it is ALL I can do to work each day. Anything additional, besides rest to try to recover from the day, isn't usually possible. I have fibromyalgia, which is so hard to explain to anyone who has not experienced chronic illness, and I just wanted to explain--I'm not lazy--I'm not a slob--I really just can't keep my house looking like most. Thanks for reminding me that it's okay to mourn what I used to be able to do, and what I wish I could do now. I don't want to sit in it for long, but I need to allow myself the time to process through these things that appear mild in comparison to so much, but that still really affect me deeply. God bless you and yours. You are really blessing people with these videos.

Thank you Mandy for showing that even through tough time, we can all have HOPE to get through it. I am in college and i am also an athlete. Within the last month, I thought to myself that I just can't go on anymore and I just want to quit and move home. I miss Life.Church, i miss not being injured, I miss my family and friends. I have this small group leader named Celeste and I just wish to be able to talk to her or hear her sing, but I know that she is rooting for me from Oklahoma. I hope that this feeling can go away and bring something that I cannot and will not miss out on. Thank you for being such an inspiration

I also sometimes dont realise how crappy i feel about not be able to function as a healthy person, so its very validating to hear you talk about your frustration about this too! I *SO* wish i could exercise! it annoys me when people who can exercise complain about it..i guess they dont realise how awesome exercise is! Also Im really glad you know its ok to grieve and feel rubbish and generally not positive at all! All your emotions are completely natural and allowed. Gentle hugs. 💖 xx

I get so much inspiration from your vlog. And I still will be inspired if you ever were to show your down days. The fact you are admiting you to have down days is inspiring!! I have been taking care of my spec needs son for 22 years now. He was giving 2 weeks to live. His 22nd birthday is friday. His heart has been getting worse, and started enlarging 4 years ago. Because of other health issues including hemophilia, there is nothing we can do to it enlarging and he isn't a canidate for heart transplant. Monday I made the decision to put him on hospice. Things are slowly getting harder for him, and discomfort breaks my heart. The good news is, he can still go to school (he goes to special needs school where he gets water therapy and finds JOY in life! He can still go to church and sing loud and proud! And I am getting the medical support I need to help keeping him going for as long as he wishes. And I have support in place when he gets to where he can't. I am relieved to have him on hospice. Sounds strange, but I know he will stay home with me, and we all will keep him comfortable to the end..whenever he and God decide that will be. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHEN YOU CAN, love watching your story!!!!! and yes, someone will always ALWAY have it worse than we do

I have Cerebral Palsy and it only effects my legs. When I was born, the Doctor damaged the nerve that is in my brain that tells my legs to walk. So unlike the average person, I have to tell myself to walk if that makes any sense at all. I have walked with crutches for my whole life. When I was younger I wanted to be "normal" so bad, I could not stand it.
Even though I have never walked normally, I feel the same way as you do Mandy! Even if we do not see the healing on Earth {I am believing that will} we will see it one day in Heaven!

Hi Mandy, this is Hailey Nicole's (you tube) mom.... she has shared your journey with me and I just want to let you know that God is laying you heavily on my heart to cover you in prayer. I just finished a Bible plan by your dad on chazown. It can be hard while we are in the midst of an experience (especially the hard ones) to remember that God will use it for His good and I completely believe this is the case with your chronic illness. Please know that I am asking that the enemy be bound and that through it all, God will continue to shine through. What you are going through plagues so many people but probably not too many people get the opportunity to watch a daughter of the King go through it with purpose and hope! You are loved!

Mandy, I thought of one other thing you might be interested in learning about. It's called Colostrum-LD by Sovereign Laboratories. I'm not currently taking this, but I did extensive research on this product and really thought it had promise. It's a bit pricey, but I was thinking of you because I know you said you tried digestive enzymes without help and I really thought this might be helpful. If nothing else you could pray about what is best to choose from, as there are so many options. I'll say a prayer for you and your husband ... and family tonight. Be well.

Now facing suicidal tendencies (It's the Lyme + meds)... thinking of admitting myself because I can't take it... yet I am aware there's really no help... it is one of those things that I just have to endure and hope I don't crack completely...I was wondering what are things you do, exercises, that keep you going while you hang onto hope?
