Yeah, one of our 4 s7 Edge's screen shattered.. Paying some pros $100 to replace the glass. No way I am using a lighter and razor blade. This is lunacy.

Aloo Gobi hat off to the guy, these are a pig to do, but I would prefer using a heat gun, or minimum, a hair dryer to get more spread of heat. then use cutting wire.
I used a hairdryer on my first ever Samsung, and bought a heat plate straight away.
never seen a blow torch uses before!!!!!! 😲
I do not recommend using. Stanley blade like that (pushing it towards you or your finger or thumb). I must say your method (albeit very risky) shows you have great skills. So much can go wrong

hello jerry, im from Argentina! thanks for share this faboulus work, i have a problem maybe u can help me, i quit de glass without problem, but i had a lots of problems when i stick the new glass whit uv glue, the corners doesnt stick and i.culdnt finish the work, i.dont know.if is the glue or another think, do u have some.method to stick! thanks for u time!

Disculpa que te moleste. Sabes cambie la pantalla de mi samsung s6 edge, hice tal cual esta en el video pero tengo una duda aun no coloco el cristal de repuesto. La pantalla prende y anda perfectamente pero los botones de home no el del medio si no los de los costados, esos no me funcionan. Sera que cuando coloque el glass funcionaran???? Gracias
+Yeimi Yanet no amiga, de la caída es casi seguro que se desconecto el flex de esos botones, lo que puedes hacer es desarmarlo y verificar que el flex de dichos botones esté correctamente conectado, el glass no tiene nada que ver. Esa es mi opinión saludos :)

czy klej ma pokryć tylko wyświetlacz czy górę i dół też ma skleić (czujniki góra i przyciski dotykowe i home na dole) Czy nie zaleje się głośnik ? Bo widzę ze tam klej wycieka przez głośnik
TheLordMaslo Tak wycieka, ale głośnik przed klejeniem został zdemontowany, więc po wyczyszczeniu nie będzie problemów z głośnikiem ;)
Najlepiej będzie jeśli klej pokryje tylko wyświetlacz, ale trzeba z wyczuciem dopasować ilość kleju względem wielkości wyświetlacza.
widzę że w tym modelu nie dawałeś taśmy przy krawędziach jak w przypadku np. s7 edge i chyba s8. Czyli jeśli klej pokryje tylko wyświetlacz i np kawałek góry (zakładając tak pod głośnik) to to juz będzie juz ok? Nie będzie żadnego luzu ani szczeliny? A jeszcze jedno drobniutkie pytanko: to na filmiku demontujesz szybke żyletką czy to jest to ostrze plastikowe które można kupić na specjalnych aukcjach ? :)
TheLordMaslo Takie ostrze można kupić na allegro, jest to metalowy nożyk. Nie ma potrzeby klejenia taśmy po bokach, wystarczy mocno docisnąć i będzie w porządku

Bardzo dobry palnik. Uzywam go poniewaz ze stacją jest więcej zamieszania. Palnik jest oczywiście bardziej poręczny i osiąga dużą temperaturę natychmiastowo. Lecz niestety z tym trzeba uzwazac, przytrzymamy zbyt dlugo w jednym punkcie i mamy plamy takie jak u mnie w niektorych filmach. Niemniej jednak palnik u mnie wygrywa z hotairem :)

I just tried this. Got about 15% done, and... NOPE!! I quit! So I just bought a new LCD assembly off ebay. Just gonna replace the whole damn thing. To hell with this!!! Don't get me wrong - mad respect to Jerry mobile! You are a true pro!
well done, next time use a little less glue than you could use some tape to fix the glass at the bottom and top. No loca in camera's and buttons as well. fist let the glue cover to the sides then gently push (or let settle) till it reaches the top and bottom. As soon as that happens put it under the uv-light.
If you still have fluids onder the samsung logo it always can continue to seep into the camera etc.

I saw all his flaws too. But can you tell me where exactly to put double-sided tape in the bottom? Its a relatively small space and dont if you cover the buttons wouldnt they not work properly? I already know you have to put a little piece on the top of the phone
@@narsi23 use uv flashlight so u can dry glue on top and in the corners first and you will not have liquid glue under the glass after u finish all work
Very meticulous removal and careful replacement. Awesome job. I am wondering why the back was removed? It didn't seem to affect the outer screen replacement, unless I missed something. This is only for my understanding, and I thank you for your time.
Cuz loca glue get dry only on visiable part of the screen, and on sensor and front camera hole. You need to clean that hole or you get dirty front camera and blocked sensor.
that flat sheet of metal or flat sheet prying tool that you have what is it and where did you get that I've been using something else and I'm running out of them you did not have that on your description

I dont want to insult anybody work. I do glass only repair for 3 years now and i have tried once glass only on s6 edge and failed. By my opinion this solution is not for perfections.

the screen is permanently fixed to the phone? is this why you didn't take it apart?
The LCD is very fragile. You're almost guaranteed to break it when trying to separate it from the body. Also, the body provides some strength to the LCD in the glass removal process.

good job but not clean work . to much glue and u pressed on the glas when you put the glass on the glue its not good let work the glue by it self and can get better results

Do not remove the film. just use a good solvent to remove the glue from film.
you left a big bubble at the top
You didn't remove the laminate at the top and bottom of the screen, that's why you still had the Samsung logo there. You need to remove that so the new glass sits down properly. Why wouldn't you remove it...?Also, I would suggest you pop the bubble with a needle rather than squeezing it out, as you squeeze out some of the glue, and the glue becomes too thin. Also if you cure the glue whilst putting pressure on the screen, you can get; 1. yellowing of the glue 2. glue separation 3. LCD breakage due to pressure, or releasing of pressure.The screen appears to have some warping to it, which I'm not sure if it's just the way the screen is, or if it's the polarizer damaged from the butane torch you've used to heat it up with.:-/

It does not have screws on the back or side, you have to get the glass off the back then screw it loose
I mean the main parts of the phone, after you have removed the glass (they have acutally screws) :D
Didnt know that loca could destroy them .. i watched once a video from a guy without having the back removed. He just scraped the front glass and put a new on it.

this is the dumbest method I've ever seen. This guy left oryginal laminate with oryginal OCA from underneath the broken glass and glue up new Glass with Loca so He ends up with x2 thicker display module and waves on screen like on ocean
