Singaporean Rice & Shish Tawook | Mehboob's Kitchen | Chef Mehboob | 11 July 2023 | MasalaTv@MasalaTVRecipes
Shish Tawook Written Recipe :
Ingredients:
Chicken boneless in cubes ½ kg
Tomato paste 4 tbsp
Garlic chopped 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Oregano 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Mustard paste 2 tbsp
Oil 6 tbsp
Shashlik skewers 8 pieces
Method:
In a bowl add all the ingredients except oil. Mix well. add all & mix well again. Refrigerate for two hours. Skewer the chicken on shashlik sticks. Heat a pan, place the sticks in it, and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes. Turning the sticks frequently. It tastes best when barbecue for a local flavor. You can add 1 tbsp of chicken powder 1 tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tbsp of crushed cumin seed to the marination. Serve with chapatti or rice.
Singaporean Rice Written Recipe :
Ingredients for Rice:
Basmati rice (soaked for 2 hours) ½ kg
Soy sauce 3 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Vinegar 3 tbsp
For Noodles:
Spaghetti ½ packet
Capsicum sliced 2
Carrot sliced 2
Cabbage sliced 1 small
Mushroom sliced 1 cup
Soy sauce 5 tbsp
Garlic 1 tbsp
Ginger 1 tbsp
Black pepper 1 tbsp
Chicken stock 1 cup
Oil 6 tbsp
For Chicken:
Chicken breast boneless sliced 500 gm
Ginger 1 tbsp
Garlic 1 tbsp
Vinegar 4 tbsp
Black pepper 1 tbsp
Ketchup ½ cup
Method:
For Rice: boil water, add salt, and rice cook till 90% done strain. Add soy sauce and vinegar, mix set aside. For Noodles: boil water in a pot add salt and pasta cook till al dente. Drain add 2 tbsp of oil mix and set aside. Heat oil in a pan add the garlic and ginger fry for a minute. Add all the vegetables and cook for ½ minute. Add the remaining ingredients to the pasta fold and cook for a minute. Set aside. For chicken, add oil to a pan and add garlic and ginger to fry for a minute. Add chicken fry for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for another minute. Remove from stove and set aside. For mayo sauce, mix all the ingredients together and set aside.
Now place the rice first on a serving platter, and top with pasta and chicken. Spread the mayo sauce on top.
For the topping, heat oil in a pan and add garlic fry for a minute. Add green chili and crushed chili and mix well. spoon over the top and garnish with spring onion
