  • Hazardous area classification is a method of analyzing and classifying the environment where explosive/flammable gas atmospheres may occur and the presence of any ignition source in that vicinity may cause fire and explosion.
Hazardous Area Classification aims to facilitate the proper selection, installation and operation of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) equipment so that these equipment may not act as a potential ignition source in the process plants, warehouses and other areas.
This webinar will present a practical case study covering key aspects of conducting an HAC study for an oil and gas facility.
    • Comparison of IP -15 with the API 505
    • Techniques of HAC
    • HAC Study Overview and Process
    • Understand the different types of HAC Zones
    • Requirements for Selection and Installation of E&I in HAC Zones
