KETO MAPLE MERINGUE COOKIES: sugar free, light as air, low carb treat

  • After making custard the other day, I was left with 5 egg whites, so I decided to make these simple, but elegant and delicious cookies. This is actually my second attempt: here I use sugar-free maple-flavored syrup since the granular erythritol I used in my first batch didn't dissolve well and the meringue, as a result, wasn't as good as in the one you'll see here. These cookies could also be use as a garnish for other desserts as is or crushed for a sweet, crunchy topping. I hope you'll give this a try and that you'll also COMMENT, LIKE, SHARE AND SUBSCRIBE!

    Can we use liquid honey instead of the sweetener you used? Mine doesn't necessarily have to be keto, just sugar-free. Thank you so much!! :)

      Hi Claudia! I'm not sure, but why not give it a try! Add it by the tablespoon and taste as you go...

    Can you tell again about the sweetner? Where can I find? I've never seen this kind.

      Hello Vera! Never heard of sugar-free maple syrup? Here in the US, it's easy to find with other syrups in grocery stores. You can order it on Amazon--just do a search.

    Does this recipe work without the maple sweetener? I've been trying differently recipes but they're all failing.

    • @TIMTalksCooking
      @TIMTalksCooking  3 года назад +1

      Hi Simmy! Thanks for this question. Yes, you can replace it with nearly any sweetener you like. Powdered erythritol would be a good choice, I think. Hope this recipe works for you!
