I don't know if they changed something more recently albiet been a long time since i was on this intersection during traffic really. but tis is the most IDIOTIC intersection o fa roundabout i have ever seen in my eniire life and am shocked there isn't 100 accident per day here.
@@Matijab. "Europeans don't use it therefore blablabla". Arguments from authority are worthless, show me scientific proof those are completely useless and only then will I agree with your opinion. Pedestrian fatalities still happen at roundabouts, even in Europe. So in the meantime, I think it's great they made the effort to add this extra layer of safety. PS: These lights only flash red when a pedestrian activates them, electricity usage is negligeable.
@@Matijab. Funny how everytime I get into a debate on road infrastructure, the guy turns out to be either an urban planner or a traffic engineer. I'm gonna start thinking most of these titles are fictitious. There are twice as many roundabouts where I live, and pedestrian fatalities happen. Road fatalities are a very rare occurence all things considered, and pedestrian fatalities are even more rare. So no matter your country's population, the sample size is too low to determine if your specific situation is indicative that fatalities can never happen on a roundabout. Especially on the american continent where driver behaviour and vehicle speeds are completely different. I would expect a "traffic engineer" to know that.

New Jersey is getting rid of traffic circles, which are different than roundabouts. In fact, New Jersey is replacing traffic circles with modern roundabouts, much like the ones being built here in Oakland County by RCOC.

Great to see
More roundabouts please.
I agree. Roundabouts could drastically improve traffic on boulevards.
When in doubt,
Roundabout.
How can I use
Go to Ur local dealer, pay some money, find and instrument and proceed.
Too much concrete. Needs grass and trees. Cooler effect and prettier. This looks like something from Berlin
That's what I was thinking when I saw the pavement going in around the cross walks
American engineering has losts its flair for design and landscape. Sad.

@@luckyluke5638 106 roundabouts per 100000 people in my country, no fatalities near roundabouts since 2017. I'm a traffic engineer dude, I know it
