@@f1etc.438roundabouts are not a one-size-fits-all solution. While they're good for improving car traffic flow, they require more space than a typical intersection and they're difficult and dangerous for pedestrians to traverse. The latter can be solved by providing underpasses for pedestrians and cyclists, but that can be very expensive and, again, takes up more space. Basically, you should use roundabouts on roads demanding high throughput, but they're not ideal everywhere else.

The U.S. has roundabouts as well. They are two different things. (Modern) roundabouts are usually smaller and shaped differently than a traffic circle. The U.S. has literally thousands of them.
This is cool,i love watching videos of these being used.
18 weeks to build a roundabout - that’s quite an underwhelming achievement
This was done by only one man mind you!
4.5 months just to build that. We need serious discussion on improvements in work culture and time efficiency.
The work easily could have been done in a few weeks if it werent for health and safety and inspections
Hehe in Florida this would take 2 years. 🙄

18 weeks to build a simple roundabout, no wonder construction costs in the US are so high.
Why are there no bike lanes???🤥🤥
and crosswalk only on one end. Also the angles are wrong, as they don't force drivers to slow down entering the roundabout.
Wow! That was amazing! Great work, Andrew!
Thank you Debra! Sorry for my late reply :) :)
I think it could look nicer if the middle part were landscaped
So, it's been some time... has it been popular? Eased traffic? Been reverted?
probably did ease traffic bud, thats probably why they built it

They should make a bunch of these might be better then traffic lights
Ofc man I would ban traffic lights and live like in Carmel (Indiana)
Idk what's wrong with the rest of the USA

Wow, My best friend, Wonderful video dear. I enjoyed watching. Hope to see you soon...
18 weeks to do something it would’ve taken the Germans 48 hours to do.
In the U.K., we call them roundabouts. We have them all over the place.
Yes, roundabouts here too. Traffic circle mostly I think though. Take care!
