Nobody played elbing cuz when it got released flami said its bad and EVERYONE DITCHED IT
He also said that grozovoi and Z52 and also regolo are bad but that's not the case at all with it's completely the opposite
To clarify he meant that Elbingbong is a great ship (CL) but a terrible (trad.) DD.
@@mcplayer152 Which is not even true, because DD players are on average so bad, that they get themself spotted all the time and Elbingbong doesnt need many salvos to take out any DD in the game. Elbingbong doesn't cap contest, but that is about it.
damn - I like my Elbing but I don't have legmod - by the end of this weekend, I will have legmod...wife says so - she also likes "faster for longer"...nothing I can do.

back when the fourms were a thing, and when the announced the initial german DD line, _THIS_ was my proposed ship for the TX, as I though having them be 6in armed DDs was interesting.
also, as for why the smoke is ass on most german DDs is because they're the ships that killed stealth firing. so they nerffed them into the ground before launch.

Bare in mind that Elbings useless DFAA will be extremely useful for you and your team after the cv rework with its ability to blind enemy planes, not even cvs can harm the mighty elbonk

as someone who used that, I think it's kinda bullshit for both the CV and the surface ship. personally I think the old accuracy debuff would be better.

@@connycontainer9459of course not. If you played the test changes for CVs last month, it's not even a nerf. In fact overall CVs will farm more damage overall. But it is true that DFAA makes planes blind in the new version of cvs
i faced this in moskva once when i was doing a gamerturn. I get elevated bloodpressure when i see it ingame, even when i hear its name. Its showing up in my dreams. It traumatized me. If i meet one i beat it till its dead. Yet...

yeah elbing is unironically the most scary ship in the entire game if you're playing any cruiser with above water exposed citadel, the thing can just get within 8km of you and start stacking des moines ap on your side
Elboingbong suffers from preforming destroyer type roles
Elbingbonk revels in playing like a cruiser and positioning like one
It is my opinion that this thing is just the thinking man’s Druid and I will definitely be looking to grab it on the way to my hinden grind
Elbing can do everything a destroyer has to do except early cap contest. Leave the caps to the enemy DD, get it spotted by radar and CV and then shoot it. Shoot it whenever it is spotted until it has enough and runs. Then get the cap. Or just play Elbingbong like a Shimakaze: On the wide flank. But instead of torping the reds broadside you smoke up and slap them back to port with Elbingbong AP. It just works because the enemy DD usually sits in the cap instead of protecting the flank and enemy cruisers park next to islands. Once you get into their flank, they are dead before they can run away. Enemy DDs get super confused, try to run you down and die while you kite them to death. An thas the moment when the enemy BBs start malding in chat and run back to base => Flank won, free cap, profit.
DPM doesn't tell the whole story, is just the full potential of Loading - Alpha Damage, the thing is, the pen consistency provided by the improved AP and quarter pen HE, makes for amazing damage, i mean you Elbing enjoeyrs now how common is for us to 6 full pen salvos every goddamn shot, its fucking nuts actually
If they gave that Unique Upgrade to Kleber, I think I would've unalived myself.

Can't wait to get a Hoffman when that comes this December. Its going to be like playing the Elbing but with me being able to swap Lutjens on and off of it cause I'm cheap and I don't want to retrain him every time I want to play hindy.
Hoffman as much as i know is a worse schultz and then u might know that save for the elbing the rest of the line os pretty trash
@MartialEmperor6344 I don't really think the Schultz is that bad since it still gets the 25mm plating, and the Hoffman gets Elbing AP shell characteristics. The only real awkward thing about the Schultz is the turret placement.
Even now i still remember my first Elbingbong match. When i started firing those guns i was like "What the fuuuuuuuhuuu...ahahaha....ahahahahaha" Then i guess i got a boner and finished the match with almost 300k, Kraken and a bunch of other achievements. BBs, CAs, DDs it didnt matter, everyone got slapped by these miracles of german engineering. And due to the characteristics of its AP you even get 7.5% more damage for just 2 points...because you usually shoot more AP than HE. This thing even gets better thanks to the overall terrible playerbase and destroyers in particular. It doesn't matter if they have superior concealment, they get themself spotted somehow or baited and than slapped silly by Elbingbong. And dont get me started if you catch a light cruiser or CV broadside, its diabolical. Oh, the torps...the torps are a meme but SOMEHOW they are extremely dangerous. They are so slow and stealthy that people just forget about them. In addition you can just spam them towards keypoints on cooldown and watch them find their mark over and over again, its hillarious. Its just so much fun to play this car and fortunately most players are just too bad to actually play this marvelous beast correctly, so it wont get nerfed. Can't wait for those netherland light cruisers to get released. No smoke, no armor, no HP...Elbingbongs gonna have a feast that day >)

i remember when the CCs were all saying the elbing would be shit because of low DPM without even considering the 6/6 shell per salvo accuracy or anything else about it's guns
