  • Some sound clips of my new 2016 Chevy SS aka Holden VFII Commodore showcasing the new bi-modal exhaust system. This video was filmed with the same camera equipment as my 2014 exhaust sound clips in a similar environment, so it can be used as a fair comparison.

    Sounds phenomenal! If I would've know about the SS before I bought my Camaro last summer, I probably would've bought one. I've always had a thing for 4 doors that can fly.

    Just a fact the Chevy ss (Holden vf commodore) comes with a Holden Calais front bumper instead of the Holden vf ss commodore.

      There is a 20% off incentive currently running on all 2016 Chevrolet models until July 8th - now is your opportunity! A lot of dealers have been selling their stock like hotcakes for mid to high 30s.

      The price tag can be hard to swallow, but trying to find a comparable car with the options and in the same budget... is pretty tough. While the mellow appearance is probably the most disheartening part for some... I don't think you'd be disappointed in purchasing one :)

      +Robert A they put a recall on all of them. everyone has to wait til recall goes away

      if you wanted a car the same price and power but with better looks you'd get a Camaro ss same price just about

      @CruisinCaptures 7 лет назад

      thats very true get a camaro ss but you don't know if he is in a situation were he just wants the extra room to fit people comfortably in a decent sporty sedan that is v8 rear wheel drive its costly but if anyone waits till 2017 which is not far away the 2016 chevy ss will drop about 10 to 12k in value

    Is the custom mode exhaust system stock? Do they let you open and close the values like on the Camaro and corvette?

    • @RobertA92
      @RobertA92  8 лет назад +2

      Yeah, it's stock on all 2016 models. Valves are controlled from the driving mode knob.

    They should really make a trim line of these with options so it isnt 45k, if they decide to make new ones after the last year model.

      +Robert A I believe that all SS are fully loaded standard. Am I right?

    • @RobertA92
      @RobertA92  8 лет назад +2

      You are correct. In 2014 the only options (aside from color) is sunroof and spare tire. 2015 introduced the additional option of transmission choice.

    • @RobertA92
      @RobertA92  8 лет назад

      Same place as my 2014 - Palm Automall. This car was ordered by someone and they backed out of the deal, so when I found out that it came in I rushed over. Car had under 10 miles on the ODO when I got it.

      is this one the M6 or A6?

    • @RobertA92
      @RobertA92  8 лет назад

      As you can see in the video it's an M6, wouldn't make sense to buy another automatic one.

    • @BILLUPS811
      @BILLUPS811 7 лет назад +1

      KushFire lol the SS walks on every car you mentioned. This car has decrowned the E39 M5 as the best ever sports sedan and you're saying it MIGHT give Japan competition? Those cars are C class the SS is B class and close to A I might add.

      Replace the atrocious Chevy badges with the proper Holden badging and it transforms the appearance of the vehicle. People are constantly staring at both of my SS' when driving around or parked.

    • @RobertA92
      @RobertA92  8 лет назад +1

      Yes, in case you don't know these cars are manufactured in Australia by Holden. GM exports them to the USA badged as Chevy. Both of my SS' and my GTO are fully returned to their Holden roots.

      Didn't/Not going to happen. You want an LSA, you're going to have to spring for it yourself. The dreamers keep pushing this out there, but it will never happen in factory form.

      Um, No, it doesn't. As of MY 2016, the Chevy SS is the same car as the Commodore VF II with a few differences in the optional creature comforts and left hand drive. The Chevy SS gets most of the Commodore's options and some other things as standard equipment that can't be had on a Holden at all. Before that, the main difference was the VF came with an LS-2 6.0 while the SS got the LS-3 6.2 on the same assembly line during the same time period. The Commodore VF II HSV has the LSA. Those cars are built at Holden's Elizabeth plant and then trucked to the HSV plant in Clayton where they are converted into HSV super cars complete with different suspension, brakes, engine w/LSA and charge air cooler, transmission (6L-90E instead of 6L-80E) in the case of automatics, beefier ZL-1 Camaro differential, and a different interior including the seats. The original engine and running gear from these cars are shipped back to Holden to be installed in the next batch of cars going to HSV.
