Sang-woo is doing it for his mom just like the other main characters and and other players doing it for their loved ones, it's just a matter of who wants to play dirty to win or who wants to play fair and square.
I think Sangwoo thought Saebyeok and Gihun would've voted to end the games, that's why he killed her. It's so sad to think about Saebyeok's brother and mother!!
A little Korean lesson ^^ Inho is policeman's "hyung"= big brother (of a man) Ali used to call SangWoo "hyung" "Oppa" is big brother of a girl (Minyeo used it with thug guy) and 12:35 "dongsaeng" is little brother (of both boy and girl)
A lot of people say "Don't pull it out!" when they see Kang Sae-byeok's injury. Unfortunately, without medical care, she's dead either way. If she removes the glass shard then she's likely to bleed out. If she leaves it in and tries to compete she's going to slice herself up so badly inside she'll die anyway. Taking it out doesn't really seem to make a difference to me. The advice generally given not to take something like that out and so leave a gaping wound rather than having the object in place to plug it up only works if you get medical care to take care of it quickly. Here, that's obviously not happening.
We see a definite difference between Gi-Hun and Sang-Woo here. Going into the final game, Gi-Hun has not directly taken anyone's life. Even the lives lost by him winning games against opponents had the opponents killed by the game organizers, not Gi-Hun directly. Sang-Woo has now taken someone's life in cold blooded calculation.
💔💔💔
