@@nhatbachnguyen9611 oh yeah sudou is a total sakuratard(what I call the worst of the fans who idolize her by bringing down everyone else when they never tell me what's good about her aside "tragety" or "best for shirou" (which is a lie) or even thinking she is he most popular (they ignore a lot)) But yeah this coming from. Someone who knows Rin stuff was cut and I can accept that as hf had to use ubw to kickstart itself but I was fine since she had good scenes regardless but I wanted to see kirie and illya finnaly give the roles they were deserved but nothing good for movies 1 and 2. Kirie is skipped all the time while illya is cut or rushed or just insulted by showing but not doing anything sad enough as it is. Even then the Sakura stuff was tame compared to fujino in knk movies that showed everything in one movie compared to 3 and at most was just the ending shinji scene but even then nothing really. The manga has Sakura slapped them taken by shinji ealry on after Medusa was beat and that was a good scene as it's not telling much either way and leaves room to imagine. Illya meanwhile forshadowing the dress so ealry on natural as the maids talk was good too. Overall I won't be so hyped for the movie. Just wanna see it once and be done that's all and move on to better stuff before and after it. It's not good overall aside being a popcorn film for the design and action shots and people really overhyped it while ignoring so much that made the ending parts matter. Skipping rins advice to shirou on Sakura. Kiries screentime to connect with shirou as unlikely allies. And illyas bond that later shows itself in the end after spending so much time in between battles all ruined for a "love story" and candy land (yes that scene was so cringe and unneeded) Plus even in the vn it doesn't make sense especially with the touko cameo as nasu's way of duck taping his Rush Job from knk as my motto for storys is "if you need outside information to understand a story then it wasn't a well done story in the first place" and that's everything not involving Sakura who cant do much and tires so fast on you with the movie making her crazy before she did anything just adds to it especially with zoukens plan filled with many holes on all angles.
Why this scene mattered so much in HF is that its a conclusion to Illya's conflict with shirou especially kiritsugu. It brought a lot of impact to the true end
Actually you can see similar scene in spring song but not exactly the same, I think there is reason why director removes this scene. But of course, thanks to this RUclipsr and team to make this scene to provide it from disappearing from the screen!
Yeah in hf illya is the one who really stop shirou from scarficing sakura not only that she is the one who stop shirou from becoming just like kiritsugu and the one who stopping from the path of self destruction . She is the one who convince shirou to choose sakura instead many.

There’s too few Ilya scenes in general which is one of the few problems I have with the second movie. You’d think they would use the BD’s as an opportunity to read them to the movie (would it kill them to add a few scenes to a Blu-Ray Disc) but nope. All they did was play around with the visual effects.
@@lenleon3699 adding whole new scenes to BD would be disgrace to people who paid it on theaters. Still, I think they could add this scene into theater version in the first place since first movie's duration time was 2hour and second's was 1hour57min.
@@riahsaonirit2650 It would be a better compromise than not having them at all. The issue was that the movie could not run too long in theaters. BD’s can have the luxury of longer running times (many movies have extra scenes added in Director’s Cut releases). It’s actually extremely normal for BD’s to have new or altered scenes.
Its been a while since i play the VN, but if im not mistaken this is the route where Shiro bond the most with Illya, wich make these scenes more relevant
The excuse the director made was extremely weird. Even if he had to shorten the Ilya scenes, having them at all would have been best than them not being there. It makes Ilya’s relevance in movie 3 jarring.
Agreed. You see Shirou bond with Ilya a lot during Sakura's route, and it's at this moment where he asks if she would like to stay with him do you see how much he cherishes her.

@@lenleon3699 It's even weirder when you consider the HF route the Sakura/Illya route, not just the Sakura route as HF was them merging Sakura's and Illya's routes into one as they didn't have enough time to make Sakura and Illya their own route without split Stay Night into two separate games.
It's been a while since I played the visual novel of Fate Stay Night! I got recommended this video on my youtube. Since I was busy editing my video on Heavens Feel narrative and writing. Even as Visual Novel fan and anime fan I truly appricate this video and it motivated me to become essay channel.

Rin did spend a good amount of her free time looking after Sakura to be fair. She just had no way of really knowing about or doing anything to stop what was going on in the Matou household. And let's not forget Rin had her own problems to deal with too after the Fourth HGW. Lot of responsibility for a kid to deal with while also looking after her little sister that was adopted off without her having any say in the matter, which was one of the most traumatic things to have happened in her life. Blame Tokiomi more than anyone.
Illya has no frame of reference for the world, just the people she likes. Its perfect for helping shirou resolve to save sakura but rin is someone who wasnt locked up in a castle her whole life and actually cares about other people beyond the people she knows. Hence why she is considered neutral like archer. She doesnt take it as far as shirou but she is also an altruistic person to a certain degree. Certainly enough to save shirous life despite it threatening her chances to win the war and not accepting sacrifices of innocents

And all I'm pointing out is that, despite also being a Magus and being far more messed up then Rin, Illya managed to be much nicer to Sakura then the latter's own sister. I was just pointing out the irony in that. _(you can't deny it, Rin was kind of a bitch to Sakura for most of the HF Route until she finally got it together at the end)_

We know her true feelings for sakura and mind of steel shows she would break if she actually killed sakura. But she has her priorities.

So, in other words, bad call from Rin. BY A LONG SHOT.
And that’s why the scene was so pivotal to the story. Heck, it’s important to Shirou’s own outlook change since Ilya is a big piece of why he tosses his ideals aside.

Even in UBW, when everyone is telling him that such a belief is impossible without destroying himself, his conviction only grows. So, I thought it was great character development when he discards his ideals to save everyone to focus on saving those he loves.
Its not a matter of ideals being stupid. Not even archer believes that. This shirou only chooses a different path to protect the person closest to him. Hes discarding the ideal to protect sakura. hes not discarding the ideal and protecting sakura as a result.
Also illya does not know how the world works. She is insulated from everything and so prioritizes only people she cares for. Shirou used that to gain resolve. The story isnt telling the reader anything about whether shirous ideals are good or bad or telling them what to feel, just different decisions shirou makes based on the scenario.

In Fate he contemplates reincarnating Saber by wishing it on the Grail even if he has to force Saber to back down from her own wish. And in UBW he was ready AND WILLING to order Saber to stop and even stop Rin by force, so that Taiga would not be harmed by Caster. Heck, his first choice in the grail war is to save Rin’s life when Saber was about to stab her. So really, it’s not a big leap that Shirou, who even betrayed Saber in order to save her surrogate big sister, would choose to side with Sakura instead of Rin.
I was very pissed when I saw that they cut this scene in the film, it is very iconic and even though it was not so important it could have been put on. #HeavensFeelinanimewouldbebetter.
Didn't know it was also you guys who made those FGO and tsukihime fan animations! Those were really cool. Am glad that the official creator finally posted it here on YT, with eng subs too! (eop sorry). I was pretty bummed when I didn't see this scene from the second movie. With all the awesome fights there is, at least a wholesome heartwarming clip of Shirou and Illya spending time together would've been a really great breather (some cute fanservice would've been nice TM). HF is indeed Sakura's route, but this in particular tackles on their relationship as siblings and as well puts on more depth on Shirou's actions with how he would go on to deal with Illya on the third movie. -Would've been nice to at least have it on the end credits.-
They were able to make the second animation of Unlimited Blade Works into a tv series. And it went well. The Heaven's Feel movie trilogy was good on it's own merit, but I feel that they should have made it as tv series. They wouldn't have felt slightly rushed and they could have added the scenes that were present in the original visual novel. This isn't me knocking on the movies, they're good, but a tv series would have made it a longer story.
Damn, just for the better relationship between Sakura and Shirou, this scene was removed.. I love the movies and Ufotable's adaptation but for me it's bad, particularly when it's also the Illya's route at some point ( it's my opinion btw i love the story of heaven's feel) hope it's always possible to watch it on spring song
It's really a shame they removed this. I finished the VN years ago and to be honest, Illya's relevance to the plot of HF and her interactions with Shirou made this the best route for me. Sakura is good but Illya really outshined her in this route especially at the end, at least for me.
It really is a crying shame there wasn't enough time to give Ilya her own route and she has to piggyback off Sakura's. Most of the memorable moments from the visual novel are the interactions between her and Shirou. while I don't hate Sakura, it feels like he fell in love with her out of nowhere.

Well this was a moving scene in the original VN indeed. Really hate the fact that they cut the Illya route (the conversation kinda referring to this fact). She's definitely my favorite character of the whole FSN.

The only person that Shirou can save is himself and nobody else. If you want to watch the Heaven's Feel move then just watch the Oath Under Snow instead. The relationship between Shirou and Sakura is so much more better then in Heaven's Feel. In Oath Under Snow Sakura tells Shirou run away from city because of the up coming war. But she know that Shirou won't run away because he has family that wants protect. In Heaven's Feel Sakura does absolutely nothing during her hole route.
Great work! I haven't read any spoilers for part 3, but if they went for THAT ending without this scene, then I will feels like being disrespected as a fan.

It really sucks that they removed this scene in the movie. Illya is literally the reason shirou kept being sane in this route.

Didn't know it was also you guys who made those FGO and tsukihime fan animations! Those were really cool. Am glad that the official creator finally posted it here on YT, with eng subs too! (eop sorry).
I was pretty bummed when I didn't see this scene from the second movie. With all the awesome fights there is, at least a wholesome heartwarming clip of Shirou and Illya spending time together would've been a really great breather (some cute fanservice would've been nice TM). HF is indeed Sakura's route, but this in particular tackles on their relationship as siblings and as well puts on more depth on Shirou's actions with how he would go on to deal with Illya on the third movie. -Would've been nice to at least have it on the end credits.-

They were able to make the second animation of Unlimited Blade Works into a tv series. And it went well. The Heaven's Feel movie trilogy was good on it's own merit, but I feel that they should have made it as tv series. They wouldn't have felt slightly rushed and they could have added the scenes that were present in the original visual novel. This isn't me knocking on the movies, they're good, but a tv series would have made it a longer story.
Damn, just for the better relationship between Sakura and Shirou, this scene was removed.. I love the movies and Ufotable's adaptation but for me it's bad, particularly when it's also the Illya's route at some point ( it's my opinion btw i love the story of heaven's feel) hope it's always possible to watch it on spring song
The decision was dumb. They had time, even if it had to be a BD-only scene. It doesn’t stop the movie to a halt or anything.

It's really a shame they removed this. I finished the VN years ago and to be honest, Illya's relevance to the plot of HF and her interactions with Shirou made this the best route for me. Sakura is good but Illya really outshined her in this route especially at the end, at least for me.
It really is a crying shame there wasn't enough time to give Ilya her own route and she has to piggyback off Sakura's. Most of the memorable moments from the visual novel are the interactions between her and Shirou. while I don't hate Sakura, it feels like he fell in love with her out of nowhere.

@@raymondyongho5757Shiro fell in love with her because he had known her for many years. Besides, she was helping him. Therefore, this is the most realistic route in this regard. I would have loved her too.

Well this was a moving scene in the original VN indeed. Really hate the fact that they cut the Illya route (the conversation kinda referring to this fact). She's definitely my favorite character of the whole FSN.
im pretty sure the ones who animated this were also the ones who animated that tsukihime re adaptation animation which was also pretty good.

The only person that Shirou can save is himself and nobody else. If you want to watch the Heaven's Feel move then just watch the Oath Under Snow instead. The relationship between Shirou and Sakura is so much more better then in Heaven's Feel. In Oath Under Snow Sakura tells Shirou run away from city because of the up coming war. But she know that Shirou won't run away because he has family that wants protect. In Heaven's Feel Sakura does absolutely nothing during her hole route.

Heaven's_Feel true endだと確かにあれはあれでイリヤは救われたのでしょうけど、生きて救われるってことでは無いからね
生き残ってもホムンクルスである以上長くはないし、Stay nightのイリヤは元々長い命ではないから、どのルートであっても、どのエンドであってもまぁ生きて救われることが無いのが悲しい
プリヤのイリヤはただの小学生だし、そんなしがらみ無く、安心して見てられる
まぁStay night大好き勢の自分からすれば、士郎に甘えるイリヤってのがもっと見たいけど、イリヤの兄である方の士郎は本当にただの一般人で後になればなるほど出番無くなってくるからね、その役目は美遊に任せよう
