Thank you Momma Mel for the Fantasy Fudge recipe. My mama used to make that every year when I was growing up. Since she passed nearly 16yrs ago we've not had it because there was no recipe for it. She just knew how to make it. I can't even describe the excitement I'm feeling right now. Today is my daddy's birthday, or would have been. And I just miss them both so much this year. This video is definitely a pick me up.

I've heard that when boiling your fudge base, do not scrape the sides of the pan while boiling, that's how it gets grainy... iDK...just what I heard..
In our family, I make Russian Teacakes. Many people call them Butterballs or snowballs. I also make a wonderful shortbread cookie. A relative makes peanut butter blossoms & another makes choc chips. This year I'm adding balish.

I always use the Fudge recipe but never thought of the cookie sheet. I always used a cake pan. This year 2022 I’m going to try the cookie sheet. Thanks for the great idea.

I love to bake and give Homemade Treats to All of Our Sisters, Sisters-In-Law, Brothers-In-Law and My Mother-In-Law. They love the a Homemade ones also. I have heard the Brat Brothers-In-Law say something about buying store bought items instead of baking myself.

Oh my gosh! love the fudge recipe! I'll be using that this year with dark chocolate chips. Maybe even dark chocolate, beautiful bars. I have to go pretty far to get the bars but worth it. they're under $2 for dark chocolate

On the fantasy fudge, I usually use half semi sweet and half milk chocolate and I add walnuts...yummy! 🙂

I like your fudge recipe, I have an easier recipe. Take 16 oz of peanut butter and 1 tub of frosting , we like milk chocolate, butter or spray bottom of 8x8 pan, microwave each for 30 seconds 2 or 3 times till soft, mix both together , pour into pan and put in fridge overnight. You can add nuts too. Very yummy. Happy Thanksgiving.

Yes, she is actually 17 years old and is a much better baker than me LOL She has the light touch for things like this. She has always been attached to my hip and still is but that's ok I love it! Mel these are really great ideas! I love how easy these are. I need to make note to myself for next Christmas “keep it simple” I tend to always do the things my mom did at the holidays and do everything from scratch, it’s how she was raised and I have a hard time deviating from it. I know if she was looking down on me now that she would be saying “keep it simple” 😊. Great video, I will definitely try these out. God bless! 💚♥️🎄

Oh wow those deserves look very DELICIOUS 😋 I'm going to have to drive those cookies they look good 😋 I always put a little bit of vanilla extract in whatever I make, my mom used to make that fudge and oh wow was it ever delicious 😋😋😋 I could eat my weight in that but nowadays it would be a bunch 😂😂😂 could you add different flavorings to that fudge 🤔 I think peppermint will be good for Christmas, love and God bless 🎅✝️🎄

This is similar to my never fail fudge recipe where I do use real
Butter. It works fine for me. -- with semi sweet chocolate chips and tiny marshmallows.
Mine boils 7 minutes.

What sort of things do you get for your girls stockings? My mom used to make the best stockings when I was a teen. I'm totally curious! Great recipes as always. My grandma used to make us cake mix cookies growing up. Bet your girls will have good memories too.
Oh Candace my mom was a great stocking stuffer, too. In my girls I put special candies that we don't splurge on often like Godiva chocolate and Lindor truffles, this year I got some hot cocoa bombs too. I like to put in some perfume, good smelling hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works, nail polish, lip glosses, and every now and again I like to sneak a special little piece of jewelry or something else really nice to just keep them always on their toes to not forget to check their stockings LOL I basically just fill them full of things I would love LOL Thanks so much for your friendship this year and I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas

I use that recipe for my fudge. While still in pan I beat it with the hand mixer. Makes it even more creamy.
WOW I never heard of that before, I bet it takes some work off your hands, too. My sweet mother in love always says that making fudge hurts her hands now, the stirring really bothers her, so I will tell her this trick too! Thanks so much for sharing
It does help your hands. I suffer with lupus and RA. So it does help. That's what got me started doing it this way. Then by luck discovered it's creamier.

My mother and I made countless batches of fantasy fudge and we always use the butter isn't that odd?! :-) I make boiled sugar fudge because it's easier it can be quicker and it produces real fudge but believe you me I have made and eating countless batches of fantasy fudge and I didn't tell anybody to take it back! But I have never seen or heard of milk chocolate fudge. I'll have to offer it when I reopen my candy store online in January. :-)
