- In this video I drive down the entire US-400 stretch across Wichita, Kansas.
(Wichita is misspelled in of the subtitles as "Whichita". You're gonna notice it, but I did not correct it due to already spending far too much time editing and rendering this 4K video. Hope that it's not too much of an issue for anyone.)

Long-time locals still call Kellogg '54.' The 400 designation was added later and everyone I've met (I'm into Online sales) that lived in other places calls it '400.' Thanks for the video!
Glad you've enjoyed! A lot has changed around Wichita over the years.
I still call the freeway "Kellogg." I guess old habits die hard. I find the 400 destination just bizarre from a numbering standpoint. 412 is just as bad I think.
A little context about this highway. Residents call it by its ordinary name, Kellogg. Outside city its call Hwy 54 or 400. I’ve racked my brain to remember when the upgrade to place, I’m guessing the late 70’s thru the 80’s. It used to be a 4 lane 40 mph divided boulevard with approximately 30 cross street traffic signals spanning east west across the city. It was put drudgery to cross town back then. Nowdays it’s maybe a 10-15 minute drive. The city limits have expanded a good 5 miles on both ends of town. It is almost uninterrupted travel to the towns that are outside of city limits adding to the overall metro.
I've been in Wichita Kansas all my life 🧬 🧬

The one week in years that Kellogg had no construction…..
Seems like Kellogg is perpetually under construction. I remember it being messed around with in the mid 90s!
