    My biggest complaint with AA is in fact the lack of seatback screens.

      I agree & think their decision to remove screens is a poor one. Making American the "odd man out" as Delta has seat back screens across their domestic fleet and United is now adding screens back to their domestic fleet (albeit, slowly) and plans to have seat back entertainment back in 1/3 of their narrow bodies by year end. Being from Miami, I fly AA frequently. I find their service to be generally very good, and the seats comfortable. Thanks for the great report! (Oh, and their Flagship Lounge is amazing)

      Thank you for sharing your comments! I agree on American! Oneworld is my current preferred alliance & I enjoy the Emerald benefit of Flagship Lounge access every chance I can get!

    I’m going to Kona from lax do you think it’s worth upgrading from regular to first class 😊

      Thank you for watching the video and for your question! Yes - depending on your budget & if you can utilize a cert or miles or the $$ cost is reasonable. AA usually uses narrow body A321's on this route with connections via PHX or LAX. So first will be typical domestic seats not lie flats. Nothing extra special but better than economy. I know some travelers decide to travel in economy and use the $$ difference to upgrade their room or book a special dinner. If you haven't already please consider subscribing to the channel.

    Did they serve pre-departures? (Not just water but at least Champagne and OJ?)

      Thank you for watching & thank you for your question! Yes American Airlines usually offers a Pre Departure Bev on Hawaii flights of Sparkling Wine & Oj/Mimosa on the morning flights. I was offered a PDB on this flight but passed on it as I was a little late boarding and had to sort out a new camera. Not everyone either brings nor has a personal streaming device. So disappointed with AA when they removed the seat back screens.

      Thank you for watching and commenting! I agree with you. Will be interesting to see what happens going forward since United is back tracking and (slowly) adding back in seat entertainment in their narrow bodies. Which makes American the odd man out among the big three.

    How was the turbulence and no internet yet? We flew to hawaii in the a321neo and they now have starlink wifi in all neos!

      Thank you for watching and for your comment! Turbulence was not bad on this flight but I did miss the internet. Hawaiian now has Starlink operating on all of their NEO fleet and is working on the A330's. I haven't had a chance to fly a bird with Starlink yet - is it as fast as advertised?? As a FC ticket holder, did you gain access to the Admiral's club as you would on an International flight?

    • @twoboldlygotravels
      @twoboldlygotravels  3 месяца назад

      Thank you for watching and for your question! Unfortunately no - not on the narrow body "domestic first" flights. American is granting access though if you are flying on a wide-body to/from Hawaii - DFW and are in "Flagship" Class. I accessed the lounge on this trip with my Alaska + Lounge Membership. The only change I'd make to your video is allow the natural engine sounds on takeoffs & landings instead of the canned music. Other than that it was well presented & informative

    I wanted to see what sleeping looked like on the plane. The first class didn't look worth it.

      Thank you for watching the video and for your comment! American operates narrow bodies to the West Coast configured with a typical first class recliner seat. The longer DFW flights operate with full lie flats. I have some footage of that product and will put it together in a future video.
