They are also known as wax melons and you can get seeds for them at Baker creek heirloom seeds. My experience is they grow like crazy! Taste like a cucumber.

И столько много других хлопот, забот и волнений, чтобы получить нормальный урожай. А здесь бросил семена в камни и вырастает шикарный урожай. Ну как так аа.

In the southern US we have a similar pumpkin style gourd called a Cushaw melon. They are green and white striped and grow quite large. They are usually peeled chopped into 3cm cubes and stewed down with cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom a pinch of salt and some brown sugar.
