    The Chinese have always done standing/moving meditations as well, as in their five elements and eight brocades exercises. The late Bruce Lee can be seen using standing /moving meditation(concentrating on target and using Peripheral ) in his fight scenes and tournament demos where he sends people flying. They gather Chi/Qi/Prana and store it in the Dan Tien. My first third eye awakening was while doing standing meditation that started with light movements and ended with closing eyes and a neck lock. This bit from the Tao Te Ching describes how the old masters were in movement/ meditation,and was also used by Bruce Lee.
    "Cautious, as if crossing an icy river.
    Hesitant, as if fearful of the surroundings.
    Reverent, like an honorable guest.
    Dispersed, like winter ice began to melt in spring.
    Simple and sincere, like a genuine virgin.
    Open-minded, like an empty valley.
    Harmonized, like the turbid water.
    "
    My spiritual journey started as a young man in martial arts I found out there was a spiritual side which led me to nearly every spiritual teaching out there including reading The Bible four times. Yoga and every ancient martial art and every religion have something in common they are all paths to enlightenment. I agree that seeing light is not the most important part ,there are far greater gifts there. You are doing a good job at offering information that people may never get from their own teachers.

    Lahiri Mahasaya said that when khechari manifests that is the completion of the first chapter of kriya. (There are six)
    Now we try to perform life in khechari, living in the sushumna, becoming still, increasing our experience of love, blissful love.
    I bow to that guru who revealed to me the correct practice of kriya.

    I remember the late Barefoot Doctor talked about how East Asians were much easily able to shift from fomo game playing teenager mode to - almost zen than the majority of us in the west. Maybe that mudra in question plays a large part.
    Now I'm beginning to understated why some Indian traditions perform surgery in order for this to take place. I'll try the exercises 1st, rationally, whilst simultaneously appreciating their dedication to enlightenment, nonetheless.

    I was wandering if anyone ever focus on a feeling , it's one that's hard to explain this one, unless you've had an out of body experience. It can be intense and a little scary which can snap you out of it. The first time I felt it I was young and had a fever. Laying on my stomach in bed, I could hear yelling in my mind and a pressure or weight on my foread, my vision rocks back and forth. Each time moving further and further back, utill I'm looking at myself Laying in bed from the ceiling.

    This starts out crazy but if you read on it’s about meditation lol. My son’s name is Forrest. Like you, he received his name pre Forrest Gump but how many times he’s been asked if he was named after the character in the movie is anyone’s guess. His dad and I told him we would have his name changed if he wanted-just figure out what name you’d like. He never came up with another name he’d prefer to be called and the whole subject was finally put to rest. I apologize for being completely off subject! I’m so glad to have “stumbled” onto your channel! I’ve been trying to find some more advanced methods to get deeper into meditation. I have what I’d describe as pretty extraordinary meditations but I have been practicing for about 10 years. My 3rd eye is partially open snd I see things in meditation-guides, symbols, etc but I don’t hear anything so I don’t really know what most of the visions mean. I often see an opening in what I’d describe as cloud like formations. I either fly through them and/or see beings peering at me from within so they are like a porthole. I don’t feel anything outside of feeling sensations on my head and heart area and sometimes feel what must be the beginnings of kundalini in the root snd sacral chakra area. I’ve never noticed sensations in or on my nose other than cool in, warm out but I’ll take note today.
    I do think I feel a shift now that I think about it such as I usually hear a kind of pop sound as I am “clicking in” to the meditation and I’m beginning to see a soft glow and what I’m seeing appears backlit. From there, I see swirling colors and that’s when I begin to see objects /figures such as eyes, faces, animals, beings, symbols and what I call gadgets. I wish I knew what it all means but I’m very grateful for what I do experience. I hope this all makes sense. I will check out your book recommendations and other videos(!). So glad to find you and I’ve both liked this video and subscribed with notifications! Thank you!

    • @ForrestKnutson
      @ForrestKnutson  3 года назад

      Wonderful, Chris! I've always liked having a name that very few have in the world. People don't always hear it correctly, because it's an unusual name. When I'm ordering at a restaurant and they ask for my name, I'll say, "Forrest, like Forrest Gump." so they hear me correctly. Usually gets a laugh or a smile. ... You're in the Download Phase. I have been able to sense subtle energies around my back, that I've developed a habit of cracking and popping my sinus carotids and back mid spine area, behind the heart center.
    How it usually goes is, theres a slight pressure buildup behind the midspine back. Then i shrug it, pop left, pop right by doing a quick turn of my head just to releae the pressure making a popping/cracking sound.
    Theres a relief, especially a louder popping when i connect the tip of my tongue to the uvula, and gathering the pressure around the mid to upper spine area

    • @akashikrecords
      @akashikrecords Год назад

      It also has led me into a more meditatation quickies. Everytime i want to relieve my back i do a 10-15mins quick sesh just to meditate and pop out all the "pressure" buildup. Usually around 6 times a day, truly nice!
      I hope to hear what you can say about this experience.

    Hi thanks for demystifying the process of self actualization. I have been doing vipassna for some time now and it's all about observing the sensations in your body. Until now I just medidated ,I never thought/ knew about the 3rd eye or the other things u r talking about. Is vippasna in itself enough for my purpose ? I am quite content with my life and now my sole aim is enlightenment. It would be great if you can clear my doubt. Thanks, bless you. Rohit

    Amazing info as always! Quick Question: I noticed my nose "popping" during deep meditation, kind of like when your ears pop when you yawn. Does this sound like the turbinates? Also, it feels like I want to swallow when it opens completely.. should I resist the urge to swallow and allow the sensation to be there or is it ok to swallow (not sure if this effects things, hah)? Appreciate your advice!!

I have not been able to really find any help on a lot of the matters and things are not working for me in the same way that they have for other people. I think almost all that might be something that you have a good idea about and also would help you with more content as well.

    Hello dear Forrest, I am trying to apply your precious pieces of advice and to go a little deeper into my meditation. Yesterday, though, I felt like I was spinning. After a while, I stopped my meditation. Did sth go wrong? Or is it normal and I should keep going? Thanks in advance. Have a nice day and week!
