I never had much time for this sort of telly back when it was on; however, watching it now and comparing it with the utter shite that today's reality TV rams down our throats, I actually find it refreshing and innocent.
Nobody has ever mugged someone off in finer style than Mr J. Beadle.

There was one I remember from the 80's and it was about someone
destroying a Violin that was worth a fortune but really the one that
got broken was a copy that was cheap and the prank was meant to be on
the owner of the Violin , but the actor that broke the Violin actually
tricked Jeremy into thinking he destroyed the real expensive one by
accident and Jeremy really panicked and stressed out. Id love to see
that one again.
They all got paid by the TV production company...including the "victims"...it was all scripted mate.
@@iseeolly9959 The victims didn't know, that part was not scripted- that's what makes it so funny, interesting, to see, Beadle get a taste, of his own medicine!

I think it did happen once but never aired
It never happened because they were all "in on it" including the "victim" of the prank. It was all scripted, these shows never ever pranked a normal member of the public...all of them were actors.

@@KrisGriffiths Jo brand a few weeks ago, all the crap they say about Bernard Manning being racist how many examples do you want . Point I was making is that something like beadles about wouldnt be on TV now cos the do gooders would be up in arms about casing people stress or some crap like that , which is a shame cos its all good humour and nothing else .
