Test Track is a high speed slot car dark ride attraction in Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World. It reaches speed of 65 MPH at the finale of the ride.

I am watching this on a train. Right when the car was about to go forward, my train started moving. For a half a second my brain thought I was really there in the dark ride haha

You have every right to critique me but I think the new one is an improvement. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS, more modern, and just like the old one, very creative (there’s absolutely nothing like it, same with the old one). And the new version does a great job presenting what Epcot is supposed to be about: the future!
I never actually got to ride the original version, so I can't say if it was better or not, but I definitely loved the updated version when I rode it and can't understand why people hate it!
@@hannahroberts673 neither did I but looking at past POVs, I just think the original version hasn’t (or wouldn’t have) aged too well and I think they did a fantastic job modernizing it.

It was *always* a commercial... Before the 2012 refurb, it was a commercial for Chevrolet's parent company, GM...
used to be a giant warehouse with some road signs...

The ride actually seemed "pretty" but dull. At least with the old version, there seemed to be something taking place.

As a matter of fact, Test Track was the inspiration for the Radiator Springs Racers ride because Test Track opened up in 1999. 😀
Journey to the Centre of the Earth at Tokyo DisneySea blows both of those out of the park

Unpopular opinion: The new one is way better.
Also it is a lot darker in person, and a lot better.

EastCoastCoasters New on sucks, its just lights and screens and you dont have a single clue what’s going on... The old one had the bricks on the road, the little cone you knocked over on the brake tests, the environment chambers, barrier test with all the crashed cars, etc... Old version was 1000x better

This was my opinion up to the 2:55 mark: "This is mildly lame. When does the 'thrill' start, Disney?".....(one second later)....."OHHH, COOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!!! YEAH!''

Radiator Springs! But the old Test Track (when you were a crashtest dummy) also was beter then this version!

New test track is a shell of what it used to be. This ride went from a 10/10 to a 6. :(

I don't know about that one. I think it looks WAY better than it used to. the old one needed a repolish, but this wasn't it. It looks better, but some things go super unexplained. For example, at 1:06 , the original was testing the difference between the use of anti-lock brakes. IN this version, they don't even explain it. This was so close to being better, but they flubbed up what was most important.

I used to work on Test Track - can't ride it anymore though because the queue music makes my brain go into instant cast member mode, lmao.
これエブコットって事はフロリダのディズニーですかね。だったらこれ乗ったことあります。一番人気なのですごい並んだんですが、それでも乗る価値があると思います！この乗り物に乗る前に、車の性能をコンピューターでカスタマイズしたり並んでる時も楽しいですよ！

I rate rides by how long I would be willing to wait in line to ride it. Test Track, i would say is between 20-30 minutes. I would bump the time up by 10 minutes if it was dark out. Unfortunately the line is rarely that short.
They do have a single rider line on Test Track, if you're either by yourself or you're okay with just being separated from your companion/group and not riding together. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard it moves quickly and sometimes you can practically walk right on.

I may be biased since I only saw VIDEOS of the old ride and have only actually been on THIS version, but...I like the refurbishment. In the videos I’ve seen of the old ride it looked like it needed to be cleaned up.
I've been on both, and I prefered the first. Sure it needed to be cleaned up, but the original theme was designed to the track. Test Track 2.0 didn't change the track at all, so all the gimmicks the original had were now gone.
For example, the turn off the road at 1:06 . That goes completely unexplained in this new version, but was originally to test the difference between having anti-lock brakes.
I wish I could have experienced the old one. This one doesn't look that bad but the old one looks way better.

The detailed theming of the original Test Track (road/crash test dummy) is what makes it more appealing than the current version. I will say, this version had a lot of potential to be really good, but it just seems lackluster in comparison.
They ruined it. I liked feeling like I was actually going aggressively through a road course. Now it looks lame

The outside section of track should have been fully enclosed when the remodel was done. A light tunnel so it appears you are going faster then the speed its doing.
Failing that, just re theme it again to a Cars ride and be done with it. The outside area needs rock work done the whole length.

Did they get rid of temperature? I remember theyd take us through intense heat and intense cold before going on the track
Yeah, but I assume they did that because it could be a problem if the ride broke down with a car in that section.
@@CoasterRoaster Nope. It was just a theme redesign. If a car got stuck in the heat or cold section they would just turn off the heating elements.

help!!! i know radiator springs only hits the max of 40 mph, and as someone who is scared of some rides, i dont know how this would compare! i like all rides in the DL park except incredicoaster and guardians.. would i like this ride on my visit to WDW?
Definitely do it !!!! I tend to be a little ride shy myself, and Test Track is pretty cool. I’ve done it many times.

Is the ride as scary as it looks
No. the fast part at the end is super enjoyable and (for me) relaxing.
Definitely fun and not scary at all. This is one of the best Disney rides for people who don't like roller coasters or anything too extreme, but still want some moderate thrills!

どういうアトラクションなんだ？
The Man 自分で車をデザインしてそれをテストするっていう設定のアトラクションです。
衝突テストやブレーキテストなどいろんなテストをやります。
まぁ結局は最後のスピードテスト(？)に持ってかれますね。楽しいらしいですよ。
チョリソー二世 ディズニーって映画の世界観の乗り物だけかと思ってたんですが、こういうのもあるんですね。ありがとうございます！
