The biggest assumption that absolutely grinds my gears is that if your bi, that your means your secretly in the closet, yet when women are bi "she just hasn't found the right dick" It's such a sick double standard. Makes me want to punch people. Like how are you insecure about my sexuality 😒
Respect to my man. He's putting his all his stuff out here for yall to hear, so let's go easy on the comments. It's not like he's gaining any clout for this, he's been in the game for a long time kids.
Me too, this is super appreciated. There's definitely a ton of stigma against bi guys. Much respect for the courage to own who he is, in spite of ignorant people who take pleasure in belittling others.
@MotoIncognito Yeah there is. When girls are bi nobody bats an eye, but when guys are bi they’re considered gay and their value as men is seen to be less. I hear homophobic stuff from people all the time. It’s almost always passed off as jokes, and while I don’t have a problem with joking around, I do have a problem with stuff that’s demeaning, and feeling demeaned even though people don’t know who’s listening and feeling demeaned over what they’re saying. I’d love to be out, but every time I overhear stuff that makes me feel bad and ashamed about not being entirely 100% straight, it only further solidifies my reason to keep it to myself and a couple gal friends who are also bi.
Yeah, you can’t be yourself around certain people, it’s a shame. I’m straight but had gay friends and my parents told me I couldn’t have them over to our house. People don’t understand that life is tough on some minorities.
With his accent I thought he was saying "toss puppets" listened back like five times trying to figure out what he was talking about. Thanks for clarifying.
Respect. Ellis rips and, as some comments here illustrate, skateboarding still has a ways to go to be more inclusive. Be yourself and f*k all that chatter.
Good for him. Shouldn’t be a big deal but fans always wanna make it so. If you hate on someone you loved after finding out they’re gay or bi you’re a clown.
As a fan of Ellis in the early 2000s (seeing him on Hawk's tour vids, contests, and other features), i noticed he went missing after a while and rly wondered where he went. Before his podcast i never knew he went thru such hardships, but C'EST LA VIE in the life of a sk8r (as i now know, being 22yrs deep) Def gna watch the rest of this episode.
It’s kinda funny hearing that he struggled with telling people because he comes off as a no filter type of guy, and then because now he’s the type of dude that overshares
You're so glad that people can come out and tell the world what sexual preferences they have? TF is wrong with you people lol. Nobody cares and that's private sht that people should keep in their private sexual life. Gay straight bi, nobody needs to know what gives you a boner. Thats weird to even want to share to the world.
It's good society has evolved past those times. Even many of us who tried to be progressive and accept sexual diversity had a lot of fears and prejudices about it or gay people.
It will never be excepted, its just ignored. Because nobody cares. But they all still feel the need to share their private information. Seeking attention and validation. Get over yourselfs. Society doesn't care what private parts turn you on. Thats weird as hell to even want to share with society like that lol.
No it doesn't at all. Skating is a free for all and doesn't have to follow your rules or opinions. That's what being a skater is, beyond the actual skating. Or it used to be.
My group of friends, there was one guy that we knew for sure was bi-sexual. It was painfully obvious. He would try to date chicks, but then he would sleep in different beds as her. Or his girlfriends would complain to our girlfriends that he would never have sex with them. We all knew he was gay, but we didn’t care. He was always with us. Didn’t matter what we did. He was always an equal. Well I’m 42 years old now. He’s been officially out of the closet for 2 years. We were right. Dude was gayer than a 3 dollar bill. Sexual preference does not matter to people. Just don’t shove that shit down peoples throats! It’s all good!
So he wasn't bi, he was straight up gay lol. And that'd all they do is shove it down society's throat. Thats why in this video they are talking about it. Normal people don't talk about their sexual preferences to the world.
I’ve been hiding my bisexuality from my wife and kids and it hurts. I’ve been hooking up with men multiple times a month for years and have hid it well
I like to ollie over man holes, but all good if peeps wanna go inside one. It’s their business, but don’t expect me to be a cheerleader for the cause. Much respect.
Atleast he's finally ok with being open about it. But I've also been one to not judge. I'm 31 and a recovering herion and xanax addict sober 5 yrs now. And even though I don't think being LGBTQ is right. I don't treat them any different. I respect all. I tell addicts being sober will help there lives but I don't shun them. Same with LGBTQ community. I don't think it's right and I tell them that but I don't shun or disrespect them either. Especially being a Christian. So I love all and try to guide them to God.
him talking about it helps those who have'nt fully come out yet. saying that no one cares is dismissing his experience. just because it may not bother or effect you does not mean it doesn't for others.
@allaboutthatbass741 nobody should be telling the world what sexual preferences they have. That's weird asf. Thats literally nobodies business but yours and the person/peoples your gonna bang lol. Biggest problem with gays and bis, is the fact they think anyone cares about their sexual life. And so make it their duty to inform society that they have this or that sexual preferences. It's not 1940 anymore, you're not fighting for anything but attention. So "coming out", is nothing more than weirdo attention seeking. If any younger people feel weird about having whatever preferences they have, doesn't mean they will feel better about it by telling the world. Everyone is still gonna feel how they feel about it. Telling everyone didn't change anything.
@@chrisss3749uh no that is the problem. Nobody needs to understand anybody else's sexual preferences. So no he doesn't need to understand that others do. It's not his business. Sexual preferences is a personal private thing. It relates to your sexual life and that sexual life is not public is it.
I feels good to hear another pro skater that is open with their sexuality. Even being bi is a headache because of all the assumptions and stereotypes

@MotoIncognitoI have family members who no longer talk to me bc of me being bi, so just continue to be a weak troll and be incorrect
@MotoIncognito That doesn’t make it ok.
Just noticed. He called out Tas Pappas for calling him names.
With his accent I thought he was saying "toss puppets" listened back like five times trying to figure out what he was talking about. Thanks for clarifying.
He is Australian. "Toss puppets" wouldn't have surprised me

I never understood how a man could be sexually attracted to another man. Dicks are gross looking.
All you need to understand is that others are and that's enough
