Dang he looked pretty big to me! Going out on the beach to fish for shark if you catch fresh bait is it pretty good odds you'll catch a shark?
Fresh bait always rules over frozen.
Fish it at night thats where I catch monster Bulls at night with big mullet You can cast net the mullet in the backwater where youre staying at!
That same spot at night time with big piece of mullet = 7ft+ bull sharks

you in this area alot? I go shark fishing down here almost every weekend. caught a 6' bull at bowditch point last weekend.
What did he end up eating? That black tip or the Spanish you first put out?
He ate the Spanish, I used the blacktip on a trip a couple days later.

I really don’t have any experience fishing Sanibel this time of year. I would call The Bait Box and talk to them. Sorry I wish I was more help.

What's the setup on the surf rod? What line and leader and size hook?
My cast out shark rig I use 65 pound braid with a 3 foot shock leader of 100 pound mono connected to my wire leader and a 4/0 to 8/0 circle hook.

Haven't seen a nurse shark before. Unusual yellow brownish color and blunt nose but very pretty.

What is your shark rod set up look like?
My cast outs are a penn slammer 7500 on an 11 foot heavy penn rod and a quantum Cabo 8500 on a 12 foot heavy penn rod.
What's your rod and spinning reel set up for sharks?
One is a penn slammer 7500 on a 12 foot heavy penn surf rod. With 65 lb braid. The other is a shimano 8000 on a penn 13 foot heavy surf rod.
