His A.I. powered GameForge App is able to aid in understanding and predicting performance by way of modelling, using data metrics like Greens in Regulation, Scrambing and Total Putts.
In the conversation Brian elaborates on:
The correct "language" of scoring Putting distance control and Green reading Birdie conversion, and The statistical model to being a Scratch golfer He also delves into performance improvement elements like:
How 'concepts' are killers for mindsets How the 'short game' is the anchor to good play The danger of training what you are good at How golf is like a Decathlon Approach Play values in contrast to Distance Gain values, and Feedback loops and Reflection periods for improvement. Brian also illustrates a Finger Measurement System - like Aimpoint in Putting - for picking appropriate targets on full shots.

Great job Mark having Brian here, this guy has changed completely my approach to golf and coaching. In Argentina very very few look at performance, they just look technical aspect. Been GF member for 2y already, is a great tool as a training platform and awesome guys too! Cheers!

    Man I love this...
    Brilliant information.
Here are some highlights I enjoyed (but I did miss some stuff too): -
18:42 how can I shoot scratch?
    41:07 problem with gaining distance
    41:38 100y from rough = 180y fairway 🤯
    43:10 130y, you want 50% inside 20 feet
45:18 if not flag hunting, keep dispersion on green
45:33 "finger dispersions from the fairway"
    45:52 dispersion = 3% per finger, tour: 6pct good, 9pct AVG, 99.9% within 4 fingers

Very important question here, if greens and regulation is extremely important, do you count a green in regulation if you're on The Fringe? Also, if you put from The Fringe you count it as a putt?

      No, no.

If you are being strict to the pGA Tour guidelines.
I play off scratch and I count Fringe in Regulation with Greens in regulation as a PUTTABLE IN REGULATION.
I also count the putts from the fringe for my putting total.
I'm not on the pga tour

Avg collegiate player 3 putts 1.25 times per round? That number seems both very high and very low at the same time. Perked my ears bc that's roughly what I do as an 11 index. *Shrug*
