I am on my 2nd day after TKR on my right knee and stumbled across your vlogs. You are such a good soul for doing these vlogs and FB support group. Thank you.

I have to say that I’ve been doing a lot of stationary biking and rowing and wow - it really makes a difference in reducing stiffness. Also been swimming and doing some hamstring and quad work with the weight machines. This of course is 3.5 months out. It’s weird though - after a minute or so on the bike the back of my knee seemed to pop like the hamstring was upset or something. No pain - just weird. Thanks for all the tips!

Thanks for the comment. Sounds like you are doing great. The popping might be associated with the knee position relative to the hip. Try moving the knee in or out and see if it stops.

      @@totaltherapysolutions it’s interesting - after a 5-10 rotations it disappears.

Interesting & thanks Tony for indepth details.
What l've pickup from this video benefits different foot positions on peddle.
Question as your reminding us & this video displays stretching, is stretching equally as important as extension & flex??

Wow, you found an old one. Great question. I would say all aspects are equally important. Mobility, flexibility, strength, stability, endurance...

Just past 9 months TKR. Had manipulation @ 7 months due to tightness/stiffness & range of motion pain. Manipulation relieved the pain when exercising and most other times. Still have stiffness at 9 plus months. Range of motion is good and not painful. Don't seem to be making any progress post manipulation except with the pain? I exercise most every day.. stationary bike, resistance machines, walking etc. Have started limited PB play. Will/can I still improve or am I at the best I can expect. I am 80.

I’m 17 days po, is it ever too soon to start riding a bike, and is a stationary bike as effective as a recumbent bike.
