How To Potty Train Your Hamster INSTANTLY

Potty training a hamster sounds like an impossible feat. But it's actually surprisingly easy. In fact, our Syrian hamster Zita put our children to shame with how quickly she took to her new "toilet."
All it takes is some sand, a hamster, and a little patience.... like, 30 seconds of patience... Zita used the bathroom almost immediately.

NOTE: I'm NOT a hamster expert. The keen-eyed hamster-lover will notice the cage in the video is smaller than the recommended habitat size for a Syrian hamster, as is the wheel, and the bedding could be deeper. This was filmed a couple months ago while we were still pretty green when it comes to hamsterial studies. Unfortunately, Zita suddenly passed away before we had a chance to upgrade her habitat, but I hope she enjoyed a good quality of life for the short time she was with us. The kids adored her.
