Requesting a credit limit increase has never been easier with the Apple Card.
All you need to do is:
On your iPhone:
- Open the Wallet app and tap Apple Card.
- Tap the More button the more icon.
- Tap the Message button the Message icon.
- Type a message requesting a credit limit increase, then tap the Send button the send icon.
On your iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
- Tap Apple Card, then tap the Info tab.
- Tap the Message button the Message icon.

You can continue to request a credit limit increase as long as you wait 6 months between requests and actively use your Apple Card. Also, requesting a credit limit increase for your Apple Card does NOT affect your credit score!
I hope you can take advantage of the lenient credit line rules that this card has to offer.

For someone with bad credit and was denied from all major credit card company..
This card is GOLD...
So I started with the Apple Card like 9 months ago. $4500 -> $7500 -> $11.5k . I requested an increase every 3 months. My uti for the card was around 20-30% when I requested every time.
Damn nice
Sheeeeesh. congrats on the HUGE jump 👏🏽 Love to hear it.
So Gotti Williams so you requested your credit line increase each time at the 90 day mark. Did anything else change for you at that time like your income increasing? Please advise. Thanks.
@@klgjr5 yea every 90 days and no it was the same income
Bro that’s lit. Was your score in the mid 600s?
Followed your directions to the letter and got my credit line increase from $6,500 > $8,500!!! Nailed it!!! Plus you are correct by getting credit line increases and not running up more debt you utilization gets better & better. The one card I am unhappy with is Capital One their automatic credit line increase amounts are horrible and I told them so!!! Not customer focused.
Yayyyyy im so glad to hear that Ken! 👏🏽 thats a huge W for you!
@@ChaseYokoyama Yes, too bad Capital One not so good with their process. Will now have to wait until January to try again for the credit line increase I was expecting. 😳😳😳
Capital One customer here experienced the same frustration. $250-$500 increase is terrible especially since I have Walmart, Quicksilver, and Savor. I decided to go where I’m Celebrated not just Tolerated.
add Chase Freedom Unlimited and SoFi credit cards to your list of absolutely terrible at credit limit increases. The are perverse! 👎
Got my card in March of this year, requested a credit limit today after watching video and they increased my limit from $3500 to $5750. I mainly use my card for cell phone bill, bought a few apple products, apple reoccurring purchases, and then use it every now and then. My main card I use is chase freedom unlimited and second is discover.
Ayyeee David! 👏🏽 love to hear that! Congratulations on the recent credit increase! I like how you use the CFU in your main rotation. Thank you for watching David! 🤙🏽
@@ChaseYokoyama I maxed mine out but paid in full before end of month. Is that going to hurt or help when I ask for increase?
@@bella50008 You just tell them the reason you need the increase is that you keep maxing out your limit if that is true. The AI will confirm that fact and you will want to make sure if you had any salary increases to include it.
@@klgjr5 Thank you.
I like the stack of cards in your wallet app. Good video. Very clear and concise 👌🏾.
Hahah thanks CJ 😅 that's not all the cards I have but I was too lazy to add more. Thank you for watching 🔥
ive had my card for less than a yr, they started me 6k, after this video i called them, it's too easy, really. You make ur request to some robot , then said typically youll get a resonse in 10 minutes via email. or in some case a couple days . i got in increase to 7k, im happy, im building it up ya know. i had crappy credit, finally realized whats important - fixed my own credit . im the low 700's. was 530 something a couple years ago.
thnx for the video, droppin some good info.
Sheeeeesh big congratulations to you for coming up from 530! 👏🏽 that’s something to be proud of. You’ve worked hard. Also congrats on the credit limit. You can do it in the future as well
Although I don't have the apple card, I do appreciate how simple it is to use. Thanks for the vid!
you're right. The customer experience is quite solid with the Apple Card. 👍🏽 Thank you for watching Spencer 🔥
Thanks brother , just started with 1.5k in April and requested literally now and got 3.5k
sheeeeesh 🔥 way to go Bruno 👏🏽 congrats on the huge increase.
Big fan of Apple Products, Love the company and stock! Smashed the like button. Aloha 🤙
Ayeeee i LOVE the stock too 🔥 Always a big fan of Apple as well 🍎 Thank you for stopping by again 🤙🏽
I was not approved right away so I waited a bit. My wife was approved first so I applied right away. We combined our credit limits, cool feature
oooo yes that feature is pretty clutch 🔥 Thank you for watching Cristyan!
Started this card with $8,000 > $10,000 > $12,000 and my last increased bumped me up to $18,000 hoping to get this one to atleast 20 and hopefully 30
Jeeeeeez 🎉👏🏼 Congratulations!
Holy cow, I did this and received a 4000 increase from my initial line, thank you!!!!
yeeee congratulations!!! 🔥
I got approved for $2,500 credit limit when I first applied ☺️
Yeeeee 👀 thats nice.
Nice video! Followed this and was able to increase my credit limit!
Ayeeee love to hear it! 🔥 It's as easy as that. I appreciate you watching 🙏🏽
Got my Apple card in March 2022, watched your video and requested for a CLI. Went from 6K to 8K. Thanks!
Sheesh great to hear! 👏🏽 I'm glad that this video helped Priscilla.
I got apple credit card without any credit score, and I got a credit limit increase from 1.5k to 3.5k within 2 months. I'm still new to the game. I pay everything in pull without paying interest
very nice increase! 👏🏼 congratulations! 🎉
Mine went from 5800 to 8800 . I use about 1,100 monthly on it and have had the card for a year and a couple months , hope this helps someone . Also I put my gross annual estimated income . That is listed on your pay stubs before tax is taken out, your actual take home pay is net income . Not 6 figures bug decent 😂 . I just love the graphs for spending so I am slowly going to use this card as my main, this limit increase is going to help a TON.
yayyyy 👏🏽 congratulations! I am glad that you got the increase!
I typed “Lower APR” and I got this
Your APR is determined using your credit score and history, and is calculated based on Prime Rate and the margin using the formula included in your Account Terms and Conditions. This is the best rate available to you at this time. If the Prime Rate changes, your APR may go up or down. At this time, APR reductions are only available for select cardholders who are covered by protections under the SCRA based on their military status or being dependents of SCRA-covered individuals.
I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but I was worried about it impacting my credit score. Your video left me rest assured and I just got an increase from $1,000 to $1,500. I did it so I don't go over the 30% utilization with my gas and grocery budget. Thanks for the great video!
no worries brother! 🙏🏼 congratulations on the CLI!
For how long you’ve had the card? I just got it 2 weeks ago and they approved me with 2,500 spending limit, I have already spent 2,000 dollars (which I repaid already, I pay all my credit cards every Friday, coz I don’t use debit) but am anxious to get an increase but I can’t request it coz I just got it 😅
@@angelasmr8818Wait 6mos, then in the 7month, or whenever your credit profile reflects 6 months of having your Apple Card, request your CLI.
I requested credit limit increase 3 months after i got my Apple CC and got approved. I suggest to pay your full balance each month and use your card at least 20 transactions
Wow nice to hear you got it before the 6 months! 👍🏽 You are 100% spot on tho. Use the card and pay it off each month. Thank you for watching Wilbert! 🔥
@@ChaseYokoyama started with 8K credit limit and now I have 16k 🤙🏼
Thanks for the info. Question do they need access to your credit file (soft pull) for the CLI?
It is a SOFT pull. 👍🏽 Thank you for asking and watching 🙏🏽
Mine was locked and still got increase approved
I heard on Reddit that now the time to request a credit limit on the Apple Card increased from 90 days to 180 days.they say the reason was too many delinquencies.(I pay off my balances/monthly installments in full)
ahhh really? That's a bummer 👎🏽 but makes sense since I imagine so many people were taking advantage of that. Thank you for sharing!
I think it’s true I’ve tried to apple again for an increase , they replied saying it was too soon to apple for a new one . My most recent increase was in July 2022
Weird.. on my wallet app there is no message option under the more … button 🤷🏼♀️
Sorry to hear that Marissa. Perhaps give it another shot because Apple claims that you still need to Tap the More button to request a credit limit increase.
Took literally 2.5 seconds… doubled!🎉❤
congratulations!!!! 🍾
@@ChaseYokoyama Thank you! I’ve been on a mission to achieve 850! Or at least the closest to it! 😀😅 Yahhhh!! Almost there! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
My Apple card is my lowest limit of all my credit cards. It’s about 1/3 of my other credit card lines. My scores are all above 800. I wonder if they believe I have too much credit on my other cards? Ironic, because I might use it more if it had a higher limit. As it is, I only use it to buy Apple products and nothing else.
I wonder the same thing. They tried giving me a limit of $150 lol I didn’t accept. I have cards with 10k+ limits 🤷♂️
Hmmmm that is pretty strange 🤔not sure why they would limit ur credit line with them so low when compared to your other cards. Thank you for watching Stephen 😬
Just a question I’ve had in mind for a while. You know if I used 30% of credit beginning of the month pay it off and use another 30% of credit mid of the month and pay it off again end of the month will it be 30% credit usage that month or 60% usage
if you pay off your card in full BEFORE the statement closing date then you will have a reported credit utilization of 0%. The credit utilization that is reported is the utilization at the time of statement closing. I made another video about when to pay off your credit card but that's the basic gist of it 🤷🏽♂️ thank you for asking that Mark 👍🏽 I hope that helped.
got it thank you !
@@ChaseYokoyama
Just requested an increase and they gave me an additional line of credit of 4 grand. Yeahhh
👏🏼 That's what I like to hear! Congratulations!
Ty! started at 1k had it 5-6 mos. Just increased to 3k following my request.
yuhhh congratulations!!! 👏🏽
Would you recommend using the entire limit of the cc as in replacing it with a debit card and paying it entirely off before the payment is due on a regular basis?
not sure if I 100% understand the part about the debit card. BUT yes, you can use the credit card up to close to its limit. JUST REMEMBER TO PAY BEFORE THE STATEMENT CLOSE DATE to keep your credit utilization low.
How often can we ask for a credit line increase?
You can get away with doing it every 4 - 6 months 👌🏽 Thank you for watching Kyle 🙏🏽
Lol just did it. It worked but my line only increased by $250 😂.
Hahah well congrats anyway! 👏🏼 An increase is still an increase.
I honestly don't see any use in this card but hey! It has a great design and the app rocks! Looking great you sexy beast!
Ya its not much help outside of Apple TBH 🤷🏼♀️ Lmao Thank you! 😂
Very good for apple products and you get some cash backs on purchases
Dude thank for the tip it really helpful, I’m doing now my second time 🤓😎
Sheeeesh no problem! Thank you for watching 😎 🔥
@@ChaseYokoyama is a pleasure and thank you for responding, you are definitely right if you don’t have a high purchases they will deny the limited increase, I just got deny because I haven’t had a high purchase, but will do some again, I always have your video in a playlist and I always go back. Thank you so much for this info.
Thanks for the upload!
You bet! 🤙🏽
Hello from Oregon, I was denied several months ago for the Apple card, do you have any advice for an approval? I plan on waiting six months before I apply again and get my credit utilization down to 10 percent with my current 7 cards. Thank you for the review, new sub!
what was the reason for denial? possibly too many accounts opened in the recent past? but try to take a look at the reason for denial again. Then from there you can focus on what went wrong. Or if you are denied again next time, you can call the Apple recon line for a reconsideration or at least a better explanation for your denial. I hope that helps Joel! 🙏🏽 Thank you so much
@@ChaseYokoyama I believe it was new open accounts. Thank you, I'll reapply within six months.
If you apply for the Apple Card and get denied, but they invite you to sign up for the Path to Apple Card Program sign up and follow their instructions. If you successfully complete the program they will send you an invitation to apply for the Apple Card. I just completed the program and was approved for $2500.
Went from 2,500 to 5,500. Thank you
yewwwww! very nice! 👏🏽 congratulations and thank you for coming back and letting us know 🙏🏽
is there any way to pay on your balance with out a ipad or iphone?
you can use card.apple.com/.
But 99.99999% of Apple Card users should have at least one of those products to make the most use out of it
anyone know if you get an AUTO CLI does that reset your 6 months clock? Or is that an opportunity to get another CLI?
Can you make video about wells fargo
How to do credit increase?
I will think about it but usually I have been sticking away from WF
Is the increase soft pull ?
Yes it is a soft pull 👍🏽
If you request an increase and get rejected does that have any affect in the future for increases?
From what I have looked up, no it does not. However don't keep requesting for one soon after being denied.
@@ChaseYokoyama thanks for the response! I haven’t requested for Apple card yet, I’m waiting for at least 91 days from when opened. But for capital one I’ve definitely requested more than I should but have learned from that. Won’t do that with this card and moving forward
Went up by 250 to 1250. Don't really need it now, I bought the 13 mini and kept everything under the limit still paying it off, but next time.
Right on, that's a HUGE jump! 🔥 I'm so happy for you. 👍🏽 keep bumping up that limit.
I’ve had my Apple Card for about a year. I’m still stuck at the $250 initial limit.
how many times have you asked? and are you putting spend on the card?
Great video as always 😊
You're the best for always watching them! 🤗
From $2500 to $45,500 in 3 years!!!
holy crap thats a big jump! 🔥 congratulations 🎉
@@ChaseYokoyama thanks bro!
You must have really good credit ,, that’s hella good😮🔥🔥
Thank you
Thank you for watching! 🤙🏽
I believe its a hard pull inquiry, i have done it before and even though i got an increase, but it still showed up on my credit report as a hard inquiry. Has it changed?
It is a soft pull. Not sure if it used to be a hard inquiry before. I want to say it was almost always a soft pull so not sure what caused it to show up on your credit report.
Thanks. That worked.
Yayyy! Im glad it helped! 👍🏽 thank you for watching 🤙🏽

yayyy congratulations on the credit limit increase! 🙏🏼 I'm glad that it helped you out.

@@ChaseYokoyama u single ?
After 8 month struggle I was approved for $2000 yesterday. My credit around 680-690 I did Apple path program kept utilization 2% for 6 months and had to wait additional 2 months before it went through. Right now my other cards are only two Creditone cards for 500 and another 700. A FCC for 550 and Navy Federal for 500 Unsecured card.
Hoping NF will graduate my unsecured card now that Apple approved me. Wondering if I should barely use card and ask for CLI after 3 months?? Thanx for any help
I think it would help to use the Apple card more than just 'barely". Especially if you are chasing a CLI within the next 3 months. Keep paying it off in full or you might consider making multiple payments to keep your credit utilization lower.
When it says "including all sources of income" does that even mean people that get paid dividends from stocks also count?
It seems weird that it would also count but I can understand if they want that included
Yes it does count!
@@ChaseYokoyama Thank you. That is super cool that it counts.
Followed this and my 10k limit was updated to 15k instantly. My scores are low 700s
yayyy I'm glad it worked for you. Congrats on the credit limit increase!
i always got a link to submit my info when i requested a CLI. the other day they asked me to enter it into the chat. it was odd that they did it different.
Hmmm that is interesting 🧐 im guessing it still worked tho?
@@ChaseYokoyama it was not approved because i have not been using it enough
ahhhh damn. I wish you luck if you ever try it again.
Nice rundown. I don’t have it yet, in the garden, but I will eventually get one.
Thanks Jason! 👍🏽
How often can you request credit increases?
around every 4 -6 months. But it helps if you are actually using the card
I just asked limit increase. My initial credit is 3500 and i just got 750 limit increase. I wonder why low increase. Its my first time requesting too. Ohh wells i guess better than nothing. Lol when can i ask again for limit increase?
Congrats. 😅 ya, thats better than nothing. But you can ask again in around 4 - 6 months.
When I click on the icon I don’t see no message
hmmm can you maybe try closing and opening the app again? Or maybe your account is too new? Perhaps if it doesn't show up you can contact Apple support and they will get you in the right direction
It work for me 😀
yayyyy congratulations!! 🎉
How to get the interest rate to decrease?
You can try negotiating with them for a lower APR after showing good credit card habits.
Yes
Yes Yes
Can I make a cash advance with my Apple Card?
no you can not.
@@ChaseYokoyama 🥵🥵🥵🥵☹☹
No hard pull. Got my first increase after 1 months
Yeeeee that's awesome to hear you got it before the 6 months 👏🏽 Thank you for watching Eduardo! 👍🏽
I messaged them and yes they gave me an additional $3,000 but I didn’t expect the hard inquiry
im glad you got the CLI 👍🏽
I just applied and they're only allowing 3k limit. I think Ill pass.. That's low compared to other cards I use. Great informative video
Hopefully they would've increased your limit later. But thank you for watching! 🔥
But think about the cash back on all the Apple Pay purchases. And you can get an increase.
When I initially checked with a soft pull they said I'd be appoved for 3k but I gave in and applied to increase CL and actually got 10k instead. Not much of an Apple user I prefer Samsung so at this point keeping them for CU. I put in a monthly bill on it and autopay.
Citi limit increase is even easier
They've increased my credit line twice without me asking. I just buy a lot on it and pay it off lol
straight winning 🏆
Cute guy! Thanks!
I have a question 🙋🏾♂️: If you have let’s say a 3k limit on a card and you use 5k in a month meaning you use 3k then pay it off then use 2k then pay it off all within the same month will companies take that into consideration as you are utilizing more than your current given credit limit? Regardless of how much I spend in a month I always reduce my balances to around 2% right before the statement date.
I believe as long as you are paying it off in full and waiting until your credit card balance goes down to $0 after paying, you should be ok. So you could potentially spend $5k in a month on a card with a $3k limit.
I use about 3x the limit on my card, but I always pay the balance before the statement end date down to $0. Is that recommended or should I leave about 10% balance?
I figured regardless of how much I use, as long as the balance is paid in full by statement end date, it shows I’m responsible with the card.
Also, when I do request a CLI, should I leave a 10%-15% balance on the card?
Thanks in advance
I got denied at 560 credit to be fair I got my first card 1 week ago
That could be why. Try and solve why they denied you. Also give yourself some time to build your credit score too since you just got your first card 💳 BTW congrats on getting your 1st credit card 🔥 thats a huge accomplishment. And Thank you for watching 🤙🏽
