Parastatals or State-Owned Entities (Your ESKOM, Transnet, SAA, PostOffice (Ever wondered what happened to PostBank?), Prasa, SABC, Telkom and the likes) have been and continue to be used as cash-cows for individuals connected to politicians, to amass wealth - citizens are so desensetized to an extent whereby no week goes by without news outlets broadcasting so-called "tender award irregularities here" and "procurement protocol not followed there" as well as "mafia this, mafia that", only to be follwed with "the matter is now in court" ... the cycle won't be ending anytime soon.
