Just ordered a set for my 2015 Challenger SXT! Excited to get rid of the halogens. Can barely see the road with those and it only gets worse when it rains.
The headlights that you installed, were they just the low beams or are they the high/low beam mix? I want to get away from the original halogens, it's hard to see at night with those out here in the Oklahoma wilds.
Rachniax - I own a 2015 Challenger and they use 9012/HIR2 bulbs. With a 9012 bulb, The high beam and low beam use the same bulb. The low and high beam use the same projector, the high beam is controlled by a shield that blocks a portion of light. When you activate the high beams, the shield is moved and the light is no longer blocked. Essentially you're just allowing the full beam to project up and not making the low portion of the beam any brighter. The stock 9012 bulbs are actually pretty decent as far as brightness but if you want that HID look which is mainly just more of a blue hue you can go with HID conversion OR buy a decent pair of LEDs for less cost and no ballasts/wiring change needed. Amazon has a huge variety of options with a ton of user reviews to boot!
Fyi, to remove the airbox you only need to do the first bolt (closest to the front) and the band clamp one. You don't have to open the airbox. Also, if you need a video to tell you how to open your hood, it's probably a good sign to tell you not to do any diy mods on your car, lol. Good video though, very informative!
Hey bro quick question. Those cover at the back of the headlights, are they needed? I just bought a kit and unfortunately drilling a hole won’t let me put that back on.
That is an undesirable situation for sure. I would suggest removing the Headlights housing from the vehicle that way you can tip it upside down and shake out any broken pieces.
Unfortunately I don't have any information on removing the headlights. My guess is that the front bumper will have to come off. Try checking the challenger online forums for instructions on how to remove the headlights.
i put some led headlights to my dodge challenger 2015, it intermitent turn off so i did put a relay and still doing it but some times, what do i need so stops doing that??
You need one of these to install between the relay harenss input and the factory headlight plug. This is shown starting at 13:00 in the video. Its the black box attached to the relay harness. www.enlightauto.com/collections/hid-accessories/products/morimoto-hd-canbus-decoder-module
I added this kit.. On my 2016 scatpack But for some reason, the beam of light seems scattered no matter how much I adjust it up or down. Do u know why?
Send a picture of your beam projected onto a wall or garage door: sales@enlightauto.com. Are your headlights dirty? If you have bugs or water spots on your headlight lens it will cause the beam to scatter significantly.
Yes.. The damn 3 tabs from the bulbs weren't correctly in. So the person that installed them for me.. Just twisted the light bulb without lining up the tabs. Making the actual bulb look scattered.
Really? I heard this happening with led types..but thought the same with hids. But that was my issue. That's weird bro... Hopefully u get it fixed. I know how frustrating it is
Did you have any problem with the beam pattern after this? Was it a clean cut off? My beam cut off is not the same is kinda all over the place after installing the bulb. I think the copper wire doesn't sit at the bottom after I twist it to lock it, it sits at an angle..
I regret doing this now because the ballast or bulb is out and it's difficult to revert back to stock. The original installer wants to charge me almost 300, after I paid 500 to install them 4 years ago.

What do you do about the headlight dust caps behind the bulbs? I have a 2019 scat pack chally
How long Does it typically take to do the install.?
What color temperatura are those 5000k or 6000k?
i want for dodge durango 2015
How many capacitors do you need?
Very detailed, BUT you don't show the most important thing - before and after night time views of the road so we can see the difference.
Great video! What size bulb for a 2014 Challenger?

@@Chris-zg8rk EXACTLY! Perfect explanation of the motorized flapper that moves to give you a high beam.

Very detailed instructions. Thank you
I removed the passenger side bulb and the glass part broke off in the housing. Now what?
That is an undesirable situation for sure. I would suggest removing the Headlights housing from the vehicle that way you can tip it upside down and shake out any broken pieces.
I don't know how that could have happened. These things only happen to me. Do you know if there's a video for that?

I want to convert mine back, one HID went out and they are charging $300, hopefully, I can reverse engineer this.

extremely helpful, so thank you!
Do you know we're i can get those headlight caps from I lost mine 2017 dodge challenger sxt
Jose junk yard
what's the lifespan of these (since they're not OEM)?
Thanks.
Around 3500hrs for the ballasts and 2000hrs for the bulbs. We are working on improving bulb life to match ballast life.
Thanks for the great video.
Thank you!
Thank you Homie

You would be suprised how long it takes some people to figure out how to open a hood.
Fuck that just go LED
People seriously, just leave your shit alone!!!
