I will never get tired of Johnny's story and him singing "I'm still standing". Both him and his song are easily my favorite character and song in the movie for me
Some quick facts about THAT group:
1. They were singing J-pop
2. They're red pandas, not foxes
3. Translation of what Moon said said to them in Japanese: "Your routine stinks. You smell like feet/toenails."
Honestly I feel like this movie is overhated it's actually a very good film and the characters are great too ash was my personal favorite tbh
Now I understand people have different opinions but I don't understand why this movie is so overheated like to be fair I like a lot of things but I can't really think of anything that would be really bad about this movie like it's just one of those okay but not too bad movies. If it's just because the fact it was released the same time as zootopia that's kind of dumb honestly
this show is overhated? wth 💀 i first watched this when i was a kid, i fcking loved it. and now im older abt to graduate high school and i still love it. its a good movie whats so bad abt it i rlly dont get it.
@@a.a.stanyoongles308im pretty fucking late, but i think one of the main hated things was actually a character. Many people, and like a ton of people found that Charlotte??? Anyway the girl elephant im so sorry i forgot her name.. they hated her for the birthday scene and like how she acts in general, like how she was so shy. Yes people can’t accept that a character shy, the were calling her a pick me etc.

I will always love this movie to pieces, simply because it introduced me to Taron Egerton (Johnny's voice actor). If you love his singing as much as I do and you haven't seen it, you should check out the Elton John biopic musical movie Rocketman in which Taron plays Elton. I listened to the soundtrack so many times already, it is really good. He also sings I'm Still Standing again, but in a slightly different arrangement that I actually prefer over the one in Sing :D
Taron also played Eddie Edwards in the biopic “Eddie the Eagle”. Hugh Jackman is in that movie as well, and they even performed a song together called “Thrill Me”
I could be wrong, but I think this movie is what got Taaron Eagerton the role for Rocketman!
Either that or it was already a done deal, and Johnny's Elton John song was a little hint.
There was also Kingsman 2 where Elton John cameoed
@@coffeecal1997 From what I know, it was a row of coincidences starting with the Elton John Cameo, and culminating in the role. But who knows how long the casting/negotiation took, so that might have been happening in the background.

That was amazing actor
He already met Elton John in Kingsman: Golden Circle, a movie they did together, and the combo of Kingsman and Taron singing Elton John in this movie got him the part, I think
I didn’t really care for Sing at the time of its cinema release, since Zootopia was released in the same year. But ever since I sat down and watched it after it hit home media, I actually had a more positive opinion on it after watching it. It’s a very good film in my opinion!

@@abominationfromhellitself7225 I agree the remakes suck, although I don't hate the Aladdin remake as much as the others. Also I have never watched Star Wars 😅 so I am not really able to have an opinion on that, but their newest animated movies are good at least.
I watched both Sing and Zootopia in theaters when they came out and loved them both. The only difference between the two for me is that I became overly obsessed with Zootopia. But I still love this movie and adore hearing Tori Kelly show why she's underrated.
To me Taron Egerton and Scarlett Johansson are the best part of this movie, like seriously there parts are amazing

Can you react to The Road To El Dorado from DreamWorks? It's one of their 2D animated movies and it's super underrated.
So I actually got to see an early screening of Sing 2 and not going to spoil it, but it's one of the few animated sequels that is actually as good as the original. At least in my opinion, plus it's really amazing visual wise.

I loved this movie. It's such a feel good movie and Taron Edgerton's voice is amazing. I didn't know he could sing. When I found out Johnny was voiced by him, I was a bit floored if im being honest.

Sing 2 is gonna be good. The animation is wonderful, the characters are great, as well as their drvelopment. And the main show is gonna be sick. This is just things i know from promos and trailers

Johnny's still sing performance is definitely the BEST for me! Imma need Taron Egerton to do more musicals cause his voice is stunning. U came thru with the harmony though

I dislike Mike as a character and when I found out it was seth mcfarlan playing him, who I dislike for the massive ammounts of transphobia in a bunch of stuff hes made, I disliked him even more. So it made me actually laugh out loud when I noticed Mike missing from the final roundup at the end, implying that the bear had gotten him after it showed the bear still hanging onto the car

It's obviously not the best movie but I personally think it's nice for what it is. Maybe it's because I love music and anything that involves it wins me over lol. I find the movie comforting mainly because I relate to Meena so much and to see her sing her heart out in the end was great.

The thing I keep pointing out every time I watch this movie is that they have implied Meena's grandpa is the leader, when among elephants females are in charge. Males live alone or with another male, only rejoining their herd during the breeding season. 😅 Anyway, can't wait for the sequel!
People WANtED to hate this movie. Popular songs not an original score, I think people convinced themselves this was a cheap rip-off of other animated films without even seeing it. I simply watched it (as I do, I judge all movies myself) and thought it was excellent. Definitely on par story-wise with other overhyped animated sh+t like Zootopia.
So glad you put some respect on Norman's name. So many reactors give Norman shit for coming home exhausted without ever realizing that the man is FEEDING 27 PIGS! Not discounting what Rosita does, being a stay-at-home mom for that many kids has got to be a nightmare too, but damn, Norman has got to be exhausted from his work when he is supporting himself, Rosita and 25 kids and you have people going like 'Oh! He is a bad husband!'

I actually didn't like them before this video (PhantomStrider put it at the "Worst" part of his best and worst Illumination movies list, while DazzReviews said "Oh no." to the fact that they were making a sequel.

So glad I’m not the only one who goes for Supernatural’s version of Shake it Off. I like this movie just a tad better than Zootopia because it’s not just mammals that can talk and walk. I love Zootopia’s message better though. Oh and if you haven’t seen Taron in Eddie the Eagle it is a must watch and it has Hugh Jackman in it.
Something underrated about the majority of the cast - I wouldn’t buy one of their song albums, maybe, but it feels like they’re just that person you know who can carry a tune decently well.
The person who sings along to the radio, or at karaoke night, and you can kinda dig it.
And that’s okay. Not everyone sounds like they should be a pop star, but that doesn’t mean they sound BAD.
I still can't stand this movie much less pretty much all Illumination films, but I watched because you are reviewing it and yes you made it a bit more tolerable. I just can't with this movie since its like a Wal-Mart version of Cats don't Dance in my opinion.
