poor Elvis, I know the feeling, when I was poor poor poor like staving my mom had just passed away and my dad got into a deep deep depression, and couldn’t work,
At age of 14 I had to step up and provide for our family.
I remember ppl eating lasagna, steak at my friends houses.. I was always so amazed of how fancy and delicious the food was.
I only had that chance when I was at a party with lots food or invited to dinner at someone else’s place.
Today it’s been 20 years since those trying times, I’m not rich or super wealthy, I’m still poor, but not as poor as I was
    when I was a kid.
So today I see myself always shopping for food that I really liked as a kid but could never ever afford.
sometimes I cry when I’m eating good food, cause I remember what it was like to have no good food or any food at all.
I know the feeling Elvis.. 😔

I really think you are right! I think at times in life, we yern for home. Home of that long ago when we felt safe & worry free. As children, we didnt have to worry about bills or car payments etc. We felt safe & loved & cld sleep. We really were the happiest as children. Most of us & when things get too hectic, we long for those simpler times. Even though Elvis didnt have to worry about the bills, there were still worries. Hard to explain but those old days meant to him but we all long for it! Whatever “it” was for him. Only he knew. We all need those feelings of being alright. Cared for & love.
