- Okay, we are really cooking in Ultimate General American Revolution, as we have just unlocked cavalry/dragoons, and captured more 3rd rate ships. This hitting my economy hard however it will be worth it in the long run to keep at it and try and break the British fleets.

Sell your 18 gun ships, they at this point dont bring enough to a fight to be worth the cost, crew and officers. Just stick to using the doom stack fleet as with all those ships together will help you avoid losses in ships and crew
I think taking Ticonderoga first would’ve made it a little easier on you as it did the US historically especially with all the arty you would get to set you up taking Boston with more ease. But the naval accomplishments have been wow… I’m trying to do it in my campaign but you’ve had super lucky matchups in your battles 3 3rd rates is insane!

Can you rename one USS Ben. For Ben Franklin, but really just put it in the stack in front of the USS Dover. So its Ben Dover. Thanks mate. Also in total war you are not actually 'killing' them at the end of the battle. They are all just getting captured which I like.
You have to form proper fusilier companies in order to get grenadiers. All of your units are still militia, even your brown coated units.

Honestly. I really hate how overpowered Cav is now. 2 units of them can literally force you to commit a half dozen infantry units to melee just to avoid being overrun, and half the time the cav don't even take that much damage from doing it.
Yeah, cav are most effective at chasing down retreating mwn but can be used to panic soldiers by attacking them from behind,
Straight up charging a line infantry trained in anti cav tactics won't work.

Just an observation. You refer to Brown Bess, et al, as rifles, and to Morgan's weapons as muskets. Do you understand the difference? A musket was a smoothbore firearm, like the Brown Bess. A rifle has rifling in the bore. Rifles are more accurate but generally slower to load. They are very accurate at long ranges. I know I'm nitpicking. Otherwise, I enjoy your commentary and game play.

@@HansWurst1569why is that funny? A musket is a smooth tube. A rifle has groves cut in that tube to make the bullet spiral like a football (us football). There is a huge difference between the 2, they aren’t even the same weapons.

Jackie do you not find the battle maps a bit samey? Doesn’t seem to be much variation, like hills or river passes, choke points or town battles. etc
Kinda but, in fairness, I am fighting over the same area over and over again, but would always love more maps!
Thanks for reply. Did notice in custom battles there seems to be a few map types. Love the maps in UG civil war but maybe we’ve been spoilt there!
There is A moto on my state's flag, that I think would provide 3 great ship names. Liberty, virtue and independence. (That state is Pennsylvania.)
this game makes me sad because its everything that Total War could and should be at this stage. Also excited to pick this game up maybe modders can increase the unit size and campaign map to a TW type scope/size. loving the series though.

currently you can only play for just over a year, I think the plan for the final release would be the entire war from bothsides.
