I found your channel just now. Im a fashion designer and I started my label last year. You are such an inspiration Natalia. The country I live in, you don't get so much support when you start a business and I'm still struggling. Your video gave me motivation girl. Keep it up. Im also thinking to start my own channel very soon hopefully. Fingers crossed.
Whenever I watch any of your starting a business episodes I feel life I am living my dreams and it just fills me with lot of inspiration ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey, I work at a fabric store & we sell “clear elastic” meant for strengthening shoulder seams which is the same as the hanger thingies on store bought garments! Hope this helps!
Have you considered investing into a little camera clicker to help you take pictures without having to go back and forth? I love your videos and your process. Thank you for sharing!
There's a way to remove the serger sew. You can pull the tow threads that go straight, whit thin fabric you can pull both at the same time. This trick has save my life many times. I jus discovered your channel today
You’re channel is so inspiring! Thank you for sharing so much of you process and journey. Would you be willing to share what program you use to grade your patterns?
It’s interesting watching you sew over the pins, didn’t know you could do that, I’m surprised it doesn’t break your needle. When I studied design many moons ago, we were not allowed to use pins.
I was wondering if you could post updates on your ig story about how many of which dresses you still have left bc I’m curious since you’re selling out of the accessories so fast. I love your channel!!
Sometimes u just have to rip the seams.... Better then cutting stuff. My sewing teacher always fought with me when i metioned cutting stuff 😂 but when u make as many mistakes as i, u learn even to be fast at seam ripping....
Wait I was kinda wondering, how many items do you usually make. Like do you make 10 of each style of dress? Also, you are super inspiring and I love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you please let us know how many pieces of each size did you make before the launch... Because I’m also scared of not selling anything and I don’t want to overdo things
As of right now, I make everything to order so I don’t have inventory lying around. I found it to be much more cost-efficient and easier for size inclusivity!
Another question.. What standard size chart do you use? Because I learnt how to sew as a hobby(no fashion school) for 7 months(from an elderly lady who taught us how to use a machine and cut materials without patterns). But with the help of youtube, i've gotten way better and planning to start my own small business but I don't have any idea about the sizing cz I googled some images and they only have the bust, waist and hip measurements but I(as a novice) don't know how to figure out shoulder measurements, sleeve length etc
@@ijeomamagdalene2828 Honestly, I did not learn sizing in fashion school...I made my own chart for it! I used my own measurements as the XS base and then made all the sizes according to that! It's easier for me that way because then I know that if the XS fits me well, then all the other sizes will fit everyone well too! It's kind of a way to check myself!
Hi Natalie! Can you explain why you chose squarespace over shopify? Wanting to start my own small business as well but trying to research as much as I can website wise before setting it up 😊
Honestly I liked the aesthetic of it more! I also found the platform to be easier/more user friendly! But I know plenty of people who use Shopify and love it so it’s totally personal preference :)

the plastic “ribbon” they use to hang clothing is clear elastic. I’ve gotten it at JoAnn’s. You can also use clear bathing suit elastic.
