It's a Cattleman and yep, totally iconic. I have a few actually and love them. Riverina with a wider brim for when I am working in the garden, mowing etc and a Leisure Time for work. Thanks for watching and I appreciate you taking a minute to reach out too, cheers ✌🏻
Great to see these huts are still standing. They are a testament to our heritage and to the pioneers who worked hard under our harsh conditions. Thank you for taking us along your hike. Loved the native bird and wildlife sightings ❤❤❤😊Have a great week Chris.
yeah, I noticed that too and meant to mention it but totally forgot. They're very cool even if they are not quite as ancient as the ones in the Snowys or down into Victoria. Fun hunting them down ✌🏻
yeah, but it's always a spur of the moment thing in a lot of ways. Sometimes all I want to do is get out overnight and see the stars and pause for a while, sometimes I want to wander in the bush and see all the animals and stuff. I guess I just like getting away form work and the city in whatever way I can 😛 Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving a comment, appreciate it ✌🏻
yeah, those log books are always interesting to slick through, try and find when you were there last. It's nice an easy to find that one. That whole area is pretty nice, never a bad spot for lunch 🙂 Thanks for watching and thanks for taking a minute to leave a comment, great to hear others are visiting these little spots too ✌🏻
It's very hard to explain but you are pronouncing Namadgi like three words (nam ad jee). You are focusing on the letter D. It should roll off your tongue like one word (namatgee). Nice video and very well presented mate.
yeah, I am aware of that and I do a similar thing with Ngunnawal too, it has more of a Nyú sound at the start. Hard to break old habits, but I'll try 🙂 Nice to hear from people who know more about this stuff, thanks for the feedback ✌🏻
good effort showing these places, you made it very enjoyable and always fun to see a roo or 2
Roo or 2? How about 2,000 😛
Thanks for watching, appreciate you stopping by ✌🏻
Interesting vid. Thanks for taking us on the walk Chris
Cheers mate, no worries, glad you found it interesting 🙂
Thanks for watching ✌🏻
Aussie huts are so unique when compared to other alpine huts around the world like the ones found in Italy and Switzerland. Love the video btw.
Thank you! Really appreciate to kind words, make a big difference!
I'd love to venture into the Swiss or Italian alps, one day!
Muy interesante 👍
Gracias, realmente aprecio que hayas mirado y te hayas tomado un minuto para dejar un comentario ✌🏻
ooooh that bed looked bloody comfey . I bet you were hankering for a bit of a quick snooze when you saw that ;) 6:24 .
Ha Ha Ha, yeah, pretty funny. Not sure how it go to be just wire, seems a bit odd 😛
Thanks for dropping by once again ✌🏻
I have the same Akubra hat, the Stockman I think it's called. Great iconic hats.

for sure, they are good fun to explore and great excuse to wander around in the bush with all the animals ✌🏻
What a great walk! I love bush huts and was impressed the last one was lined, despite the dirt floor!!! :)
Thanks for taking us along.

Thanks for the video. Another nice one and interesting to see the huts and hear about their history
Thanks Alex ✌🏻
I do enjoy your trips. Couple of vids ago you said you were going to focus more on treks than camps. Are you glad you did?
Keep it up fella.
❤

Had a few meals in the Forestry Hut, still some entries in the book from our DofE days in the 90s
