Whoo hoo very early Visage haven't heard this for a long time. About time Steve Strange stop living the dream with Visage, he will never be able to create that sound again without the genius people behind it. As much as I love Steve, he's not the person he use to be.

I agree, why this is not featured on ANY Visage cd is beyond me.
This should have been added on the CD version of the debut CD album. This version is SO much better than the Dance mix. Absolute GENIUS!
i think this is even more of an art piece than the A-side, Tar.
Also, it's still the future, even after 40 years.
Tar has higher production value, but I love the immediacy of this, like a direct glimpse into mind of a young Steve Strange.
The later "dance mix" version is nowhere near this masterpiece. Here, with included vocals, "Frequency 7" is complete in all of its adorable nonsense (whether musical or lyrical) and still makes it a rare find in Visage's catalogue. Now it's easy to brag about it via RUclips channels (finally!), but it's those who managed to collect the original 7" that count. Not just because of this b-side (space) oddity, but also due to the fact the original 7" version of "Tar" was never actually re-released anywhere either. Many refer to that one as sounding exactly like the LP version but that's not true. Radar version of "Tar" sounds like a bit more on reverb (almost mono) and features different sax solos in places...
I found the original vynal 7"single TAR by visage at a car boot sale a couple of years ago, paid 20p for it, think it's worth about £10.00 now. Lucky find.

SS tried to cash in. Just stop it. The Visage original stuff was greaqt, this is cashing in, until he dies.
I can understand why this version has been all but forgotten - it leans toward punk (the same way the original Ultravox - with Jon Foxx as lead singer - did). The New Romantics were supposed to be dour and gentile, and detractors and fans alike prefer to remember slithering Euro-disco. However, I think songs/mixes like this show that NR had much more depth. Anyone also remember the Human League's Hard Times?
This sounds very different from the stuff Visage did a bit later. Almost has a Devo feel here!
