    I skied Look Nevada in the late 70’s and all through the 80’s. The swivel heel was the big selling point back then too.

    Hi. I am getting the line chronics and having hard time choosing what binding to buy. Also if mount the pivots that they fit to my boot (27.5) and I am probably going to get new ones after the next season but I really need new skis and bindings so would it be possible to maybe remount the bindings after I get new boots or can I just adjust it again to the bigger boot. I don't know if you understood but would be helpful if you told me

    • @skisdotcom
      @skisdotcom  3 года назад +2

      Pivot Bindings do not have very much adjustment for different size boots. If you stayed with a 27.5 you most likely will not need to remount the binding. If you go up or down in a shell size the binding will need to be remounted. It is possible to remount a ski up to 3 times before you start to compromise the integrity of the ski.

    would 115 wide brakes fit 120 underfoot skis?

    • @skisdotcom
      @skisdotcom  3 года назад +1

      A 115mm Brake on a 120mm is a bit of a stretch. I would consult your ski tech to see if he is willing to make the modifications.

      @@skisdotcom yes a 115mm pivot will fit on a 120 waist ski. Probably won't even have to tweak the brakes. skis dot Com do you guys even use the the stuff you sell?

    I am getting line blends and I don’t really know what bindings to get. Do you have any recommendations? (I am slightly over the beginner type)

      The Look Pivot 12, Marker Griffon, and Tyrolia Attack 13 are all good options for the Blend.

    If I have a 118 width ski what pívot binding should I get?

    • @skisdotcom
      @skisdotcom  3 года назад

      The Pivot 14, 15 and 18 all have 115mm brake size options. You can fit that on a 118mm ski. The binding tech may have to do some easy and fast modifications depending on the sidecut of the ski, but it will not have any effect on the binding or the ski.

    Will the look bindings fit on a 148 ski or should We get a junior look bindings

    • @garbagejuice1
      @garbagejuice1 4 года назад

      The length of the ski does not matter. It is the width of the ski that matters when buying a binding. If you go on the look website there is a measurement for brake length. You want the brake to be wider than the ski itself. Hope this helps.

    • @skisdotcom
      @skisdotcom  4 года назад

      It depends on the thickness of the ski, if the ski is an adult ski it is thick enough to mount adult bindings without punching holes through the bases. If the ski is a junior ski, it may be thick enough to mount adult bindings. Which model ski are you planning on mounting look bindings on?

    99 under foot ok for the 14s?....brake width ???...

    • @skisdotcom
      @skisdotcom  3 года назад

      The Pivot 14 is available in a 95 and 115mm brake sizes. The 95mm should be able to fit on a 99mm waist. You usually get a few extra millimeters of clearance than it actually measures. An experienced ski tech would be able to make some easy modifications to the brake for you that will not be an issue.
