      Right lmao!!! Like two and three times in a row. I even sent this to my players to watch. The thing i like the most is watching the kids front foot step towards the target. Thats a hard skill for kids to master because they start rushing instead of staying relaxed.

    These kids are good, you'll never understand the pressure that they're going through, unless you do it yourself.
    I had the opportunity to play in a few and show what I had at 3rd base.
    And that led me to 3 great years at Youngstown state.
    Please stop hating on these young bucks, they're just trying to make a name for themselves. It's all about the day you have, and the time you make of it.
    All respect and keep swinging.

      he throwing over hand. hes prob a good hitter and plays outfield also, a 1st base rarely throws so it effect like at best 1% of innings and even then whose to say it doesnt work. not worth it if your also gonna be playing outfield, and arent dead set on infield.

    • @marshalcraft
      @marshalcraft 5 лет назад +7

      out fielder's usually throw directly over hand, cause slight left or right means totally missing the catcher from center field, being little high or low doesn't matter. All though Ichiro dam near threw side arm, but he probably could throw better then any infielder of his time, Jeter, etc. Just didn't have the ground ball handling skills like other short stops. Or wasn't tall enough to Jump. Short stop kind of like soccer goally, tall lanky person has distinctive advantage at stopping the ball.

I'm not far from 60, but this takes me back to my youth, a lifetime ago, but in my mind I can sense the texture of my glove, the feel of my uniform, and the distinctive scent of a baseball. I was an infielder myself, couldnt play the outfield for beans and had mad respect for anyone who could. These guys are talented and have a love of the game. One day they too will look back and think of these days, and when they do, they too will remember the textures, sounds, and smells that is baseball.

    In 1986, when I was going through Marine Corps "boot camp", I'd stand there in formation and stare up the hill at the beautiful tower and buildings of University of San Diego, and I'd silently vow to myself: "I'm gonna go to college. I'm gonna do better than this. I'm going to get my degree and be a history teacher." I just loved looking at those buildings. It reminded me that I still had time. I could still do it. That I'd somehow get there. That it was real. It took me away from the stress and depressing reality of my most recent life decision, which i wasn't completely happy with.

    They are making it look fairly smooth. May be that everyone of them are real good. Also they are clearly going 70% on throws to save arms for game days.

    I used to play third base most of the time in HS. I would have much rather played short stop but some other kid was more fancy like an Ozzy Smith. The throw from third to first is insanely difficult at times cause so far away. I made some impressive defensive grabs but on the throw to first I'd either throw it over the first baseman's head or it would go wide lol. I'm old now and get to play short stop on an old men's baseball league team so I get to re-live my dream which is cool

  • @Ireland831
    @Ireland831 5 лет назад +2

    Many of them have excellent glove work. Maybe it was the angle but it appears that they all throw balls that tail. Quick releases for sure but at the expense of nice tight rotation to target. I’ll watch again.
