dude I like your enthusiasm. The ‘square’ you referred to is a combination square. Also, what was up with your contractor table saw? Did you not have your shop vac connected to it? It was just next to the table saw. You were swimming in fine dust. You won’t have a long career in woodworking if you keep breathing in that fine dust.
Ah man I can't believe I forgot! Thank you for reminding me of the name. That shop vac was broke and I hadn't got a new one at this point. I am happy to say it is now hooked up and protecting my lungs!
Consider layering another couple layers of MDF since you have it anyway. Makes your top much more stable and "poundable" for joinery.
Great idea! Will definitely consider that in my next one! Never hurts to have a bit more pounding capacity
