    I played BB extensively recently and have some additional tips:
    -You can usually rival Luneburg right at the start, if you wait until Dec 31 you can declare the next day and they don't tend to get strong allies, often they only have 1 small ally if any
    -Since you won't have much PP at this point regardless, just wait until that war ends to set another rival, if you can do another humiliation war it helps to be able to choose the weakest enemy, just leave a slot open for Wolgast
    -Cavalry can be deleted to save cash and free up the force limit for mercs, very useful if you can hire a merc company with a nice general, a few siege pips will speed up the early wars drastically and if nobody got massive allies you can pull off 2 or 3 humiliation wars before declaring on Wolgast
    -Remember to set Wolgast as a rival right before declaring on them, after this you'll be sitting at 100PP for a long long time
    -If you give out 2 of the mana privileges and sell land you can get a nice chunk of startup cash and then buying neumark + taking land from the clergy in the "Build our own institutions" event will get you right at 10%, just don't give out more privileges than those 2 until after your Wolgast war
    -The same day you send the peace deal to Wolgast, use your last 10% crownland to give the last mana privilege, since no estates have much influence Wolgast's land should put you right over 10% and you can seize land pretty soon afterwards. Just don't unpause after sending the peace deal or the land share will update before you can give out the privilege. Unpause for a day before assigning any other privileges you want to give the estates.
    -Sometimes Wolgast's last province can't be occupied because they'll blockade you, but if they ally Saxe-Lauenburg (they almost always do) you can occupy their capital and instead of separate peacing, just full annex Wolgast a little sooner. Sometimes though you can just rush the island before they realize a ship should block it and if you leave 1 unit behind on the continent, the rest of your army can stackwipe his and occupy that island before his ally shows up
    -Wolgast likes to ally Denmark/Bohemia, while this can be recovered from it's usually easier to just restart
    -You can just wage your humiliation wars while improving with Poland and Austria, and sometimes Poland will accept an alliance the month after the marriage so you can free up a diplomat to curry favors
    -Ally Ansbach instead of electors, the HRE emperor likely won't die early and if you're allied to Ansbach you can potentially feed them some of the land required for their mission, saving you from accruing AE. I notice about a 50/50 chance for Nuremberg to ally Saxony, you can just call Poland in with curried favors and stomp them, but set Nuremberg as vital interest first or they might occupy it and hand it off to Bayreuth. Any land Bayreuth takes will be force returned, but Ansbach can usually get away without returning any land. You can also release Coburg in this war if you don't want to fight Saxony again later, Ansbach usually won't want to annex it in the first war.
    -Your starting heir tends to die early so be aware you can abdicate midway through 1460, check the ledger for the specific date the starting ruler came to power and it's just 20 years later. Just don't abdicate if you have too long a truce with whoever has the provinces you need in Franconia. The mission for 25 permanent PP starts ticking the day your starting heir becomes ruler, not when you complete the mission
    -If you call Poland in against Teutons you can just annex Danzig and give them everything but Marienburg, vassalize TO in the next war and use favors to take as much land back as possible. This prevents the monument there from dropping in level, but Poland will usually break the alliance since they want Danzig, so be prepared to just do a reconquest war instead of using favors.
    -If you take espionage first you can get an event around November of every year ending in 4 or 9, one of the 5 year pulse events from espionage that gives a 6/6/6 heir. It's supposed to just get +3 to each category but every single time I've seen it it's been 6/6/6. Espionage is also nice all around and provides a siege boost, pretty much the only thing Prussia won't have on its own.
    -RM/Ally Burgundy whenever convenient and get their relations up, the Inheritance is almost guaranteed
    -When you decide to go for emperor you only need 2 other electors, the bishoprics are nice because they can't get marriages from their other allies, only go for a third if you worry Austria will get 3 votes as well once your initial expansion is done.
    -You can usually diplo vassalize Gotland once you get a bit bigger, it's just nice for their monument and trade power, and to remove them as a potential ally from any enemies you might want to kill
    -If you improve with one of Burgundy's subjects you can get them to share knowledge with you as soon as they embrace Renaissance, just keep an eye on it and send the request before Burgundy does, I always went for Flanders since they seemed to get it first. You can easily spawn Faceting in Danzig this way, but if you plan on abdicating remember to let faceting spawn first, it's easy to forget it requires 50 prestige

    I assume his heir died before his king so he didn't get the ansbach pu and forgot to discuss it, but I like to ally them and try to feed them the provinces needed for the franconian tree during the down time instead of personal wars. It is a second source of ae sink, and that 25 permanent power projection is just so nice.

    • @diogomelo7897
      @diogomelo7897 3 месяца назад +1

      The only problem with this strategy is if your ruler die too soon, and you have to do all the wars in those 5 years anyway. That's why I prefer to just disinherit it and get a better heir

    • @DSVlad
      @DSVlad 3 месяца назад +1

      yeah for real, if Nuremberg allies Saxony you can feed it to Ansbach and if you don't plan on abdicating asap to prevent the heir dying first you can sometimes even feed them Wurzburg's 2 provinces a little later
      always abdicate though albrecht achilles died like 50 times pre-1460 in my runs

    I like opening with Espionage-Innovative-Offensive. Getting that AE reduction early helps a ton, as does the vassalization acceptance. Plus this combo just gives you incredibly cheap advisors and god tier siege ability, which I find super necessary in the HRE due to how many nations with forts there are.
    Also, haven’t done this on this patch yet, but for the Lusatia + Silesia mission, I’m thinking it could be good to take the three provinces in Lusatia, 1 in Silesia, and then release Silesia as a vassal and reconquer their cores in the next war with Bohemia. Didn’t use to really be worth it since there were two nations with 2-3 cores each, but now that Bohemia has that mission that lets them unite their two vassals into Silesia before annexing them, it should be possible if you wait long enough to dec on Bohemia, as you did in this video.

    Nice idea now for your first war vs Bohemia is to take a province in Lusatia and one province in Silesia, release Lusatia and Silesia as vassals and then do a second reconquest war against Bohemia. Little aggressive expansion, saves admin points and you are much stronger with two vassals in the beginning of the game, than directly owning the land.

    Maybe an unpopular opinion, but i really don't like the intro part where you show your "results". Personally I need to skip this part all the time because it spoils all the fun of what you're going to make out of it from 1444 onwards. Even if its meant to be a guide. Plus the result at the end may vary for everybody recreating this. Just my opinion, but yeah, I'm not a big fan of spoilers like this.
    Otherwise great video 😊

      @BobbiusRossius I think inno + quality is a valid strat (ICA stacking), especially if you open with inno since you get more value out of it that way, but I just can't get behind it personally

    • @legitplayin6977
      @legitplayin6977 3 месяца назад

      @BobbiusRossius So you start out by saying it’s not about the meta, and then you say that’s it’s more effective to take espionage/diplo/admin.
      I mean sure you can play like that, but taking the same 3 or 4 idea groups for 99% of countries is, as I said, lame as fuck

    • @Pokeeko
      @Pokeeko 3 месяца назад

      @BobbiusRossius disagree, while i agree with you that the most optimal way would be to take espionage etc, for newer players is actually better to have better combat modifiers, as they are probably worse in wars and everythingoverall, they also need a slower pace in the game probably, they probably wont expand as much, as this is a guide for newer players, this is probably an easier focus than going for meta expansion ideas

    At 43:00 you talk about giving out the special privelage only after you hit 30% crownland, because the privelage makes it so the nobels are exapt from seize land. but you already have the "increased Levies" privelage from the nobles who already does that. and you did not take the compromise with the nobility gov reform. so the Nobels have been exempt from seize land from the start of the game, so should you not just take "consoolidated noble contracs" as soon as you can, since you have no negatives from it?

    Your national ideas give you an absolutely cracked +20% morale AND +5 discipline AND +20% inf combat ability AND +25% national manpower modifier.
    Protector of the faith is another good source of morale and manpower, and militarization gives you even more discipline and manpower.

    my Prussia is a little more naval and a little more loyal to Poland
    We fought Bohemia in a Crisis and now I'm personal king of both Brandenburg and Bohemia
    the hohenzollerns died off but a branch family with Polish routes took the throne and now our family rules in Brandenburg-Bohemia, England(almost Britain), and Poland.
    We're rivals with the Hapsburgs and I avoided your HRE thing like the plague, im the big bad guy who has coalitions jumping me but I'm also loved by many big factions and the 4th strongest faction(Behind China, Muscovy, and Ottoman if you're interested)on the map already dominating the Baltic sea with my small fleet

  • @diogomelo7897
    @diogomelo7897 3 месяца назад

    I think for the 1st idea is better to go either diplo or espionage instead of a mil one. AE will be the biggest issue for expansion early on, and with these you can avoid coallition, specially with espionage. For the 2nd and 3rd ones, it coulb be a combination of inno, adm, a money making one or a mil one, although for Prussia I think you can easily wait to take the military ideas only for the 4th or 5th ones without much problems. And if you go with espionage, you could consider if it's worth to refund for a different idea after dismantling the HRE.
    And I don't think changing to strenghten nobles privileges is worthy after yo uconvert, because as Prussia you already get +25% manpower from the ideas, and with max militarization you can get up to +20% manpower recovery speed once you upgrade to normal militarization, so not to mention the excess of manpower that you might have right after you stop being the emperor.
