I noticed during assembly of the forward frame through bolt (04:27) you have the washers on the wrong side of the bolt head, washers should go under the male/female studs to secure them, and the specific torque values are as follows: Forward through bolt 48NM torque, the smaller male/female studs should be torqued to 25NM torque. Safe Riding.
Aussie 390 ADV's don't come with crash bars either, and our crash bar kits don't come with instructions. I like a good mystery as much as the next fantastic fellow, but I also like recommended torque settings. Still, mustn't blub. Cooee!
Yeah, agreed on the torque settings. I very paranoid about engine bolts, wheels and what not. I don’t believe there are torque settings for the crash bars, but I might be mistaken.
Hiya buddy, just started watching some of your videos as I've just bought a 390 Adventure as a 2nd bike, I will be fitting the same engine guards and apparently the Royal Enfield Himalayan clutch cable fits perfect with the bar risers, good videos mate .....👍🇬🇧
These are just teeny weeny crash guards, you might wanna consider the full crash guard from HyperRider or Zana that covers the tank, fairing and engine as well. You can also mount a few accessories like a bottle holder or fog lights etc
Thanks for the recommendation. My current setup has done me well so far, and I do like how they are lightweight, but I’ll definitely check out the HyperRide. I can’t stand Zana, most of their stuff is cheap garbage from my experience.
Hi bro! Your videos are fantastic, thank you for providing information, the crash bars assembly video was very helpful to me. I wonder what type of camera you use to make the video. It looks very good. I imagine it is attached to a cap.
Hey thanks a lot. Glad my videos help👍. I use a go pro hero 11 or my insta 360 rs one. And yes, usually it’s attached to my head or chest. I do this on purpose because it gives you a first person perspective, like how you would be doing the work. I can’t stand those third person angles, can’t hardly see anything and it’s very impersonal. Hope you find my other content useful too 🤟🏻.
I dealt with the right side bar as you will running your longer clutch cable because it's so close. I'm thinking you need some down time back in the states... Your getting confused with your nuts and your bolts and thread locker or (lock tight) love your torque specs (frickin tight) you crack me up cus that what my motto is.. next up clutch cable install. Peace out your friend Scott
Forgot to mention.. Install some blocks on your crash bars from Amazon or eBay inexpensive but work to keep bars from getting marked up if your bike falls over like some people I know 🤔
Hey, thanks for the comment. I looked in the KTM manual and could not find a toque setting. You may want to ask the folks at KTM. Otherwise ¥, just put some loctite on them and give em a good twist. If any one else knows, comment here.

Interesting that some Euro/ Asia markets don’t come with Crash Guards from the Factory, the USA does, but oddly doesn’t come with the LED blinkers.

Anyone know what the 2 bolt holes are for on the inside of the crash bars?
My best guess is to mount bumpers or to possibly add additional upper crash bar cage? I have no idea.

No, these will not fit the 390 Duke as far as I know.

Crash bars a great addition my friend. They also keep you safer in the event of a fall.
